When did we make the decision that a fair and fun game should always have one guy with a gun more accurate and more powerful than all the rest put together? Like honestly which smart arse made that choice? Why is it even necessary, do people who design online games actually think all battles are fought by teams of 5, 1 of which has a bolt action sniper rifle?

What does the sniper actually do? Well for starters it allows one player to carry his team. Its almost a guarantee to say that the sniper is the best player on the team, he flames the most and seems to have immediate priority. Ever played a mix with a sniper you didn't know, that one who immediately tells you where to go, bosses the entire game. "No your not the smartest fucking player here, you can just move your fucking hand quickly, so stfu and do what years of wanking has trained you to do".

And more to the point, when did the designers of Cod4 decide it was a good idea to make the sidearm a fucking super gun. Snipers have literally no disadvantage anymore. Deagle is almost as good as nearly any SMG if used right, and more accurate at range.

Then we get these snipers who line up wallbangs for hours on empty servers (mostly Dutch people). They just learn off by heart where you go and how long it takes so they can shoot you through 4 different walls and hit you in the head. Something that was impossible before Promod changed the power from "just lethal" to "class A nuclear weapon".

Then we get "reaction snipers" those lads who just aim at a certain point wait for you to run by and click. They think they are sooo high skilled. What perhaps they don't understand is literally all they do is sit there and click. A small movement of one finger makes them "highskilled". Get the fuck over it mate.

And then flick shotters... What is flick shooting... It sounds all very arbitrary and made up. Like I can make up any sort of shot I like. "Omg lads did you see that swish shot".

At the end of the day I think the game would be a more open and fair environment if we got rid of snipers completely, or gave them some actual serious disadvantages the game would be better imo. Maybe you disagree?

Wow you just insulted me as a sniper...:P...look, Sniper is for long range shooting, smg is for small range and assault is for middle range.So, If you are smg than just get away from theese areas where sniper is sniping(large areas) and try to get behind his back or something to kill him...And what about 3on1 situations or 4on1? What kind of advantage sniper has if 4 Assaults or smg-s open rapid fire?He must took them one by one 'coz it's a bolt action, and he gives up his position. Also you must know your gun and your options. If you are good smg want to rush through the smoke than you got a big advantage 'cuz sniper has BOLT ACTION FIRE, and you got automatic fire, so there is more chance to kill him...And why sniper is always leader in team? wtf? that is not true. In good team everyone is kind of leader becose everyone must help eachothers and everyone must work together to improve their game style. And sniper is made to cover the area so he can cover his teammates from danger in distance...sorry for bad eng, nice blog I liked it...nice work.. r3spect

call of duty is based on world war and WW had snipers, why wouldnt game had snipers.. and snipers are funniest gun to play with, becouse yes they do usually carry their team so he gets most kills, so i dont see any fails in snipers
