Abuse
On the ClanBase website, IRC, email or talk during the game
ClanBase takes action against the following abusive behaviour:
- Behaviour only meant to shock or disturb; for images we draw the line at gore (rotten.com) and hardcore porn (visible genitals, intercourse).
- Racism.
- Bothering people with off-topic advertising in other words: uninteresting advertisements (e.g. use my referral id to sign up so I make money or get points). Of course you -are- allowed to advertise clanpages and player pages.
- Exposing viruses or worms.
- Promoting cheats or contributing to their spread.
- Senseless spamming on ClanBase forums.
- Harassment (repeated insulting/bothering).
- Offending a ClanBase admin in course of his/her official duties.
- Providing false information or being dishonest to a ClanBase representative in any other form.
- Creating multiple fake matches in ladders. More info can be found in the ladder punishment table.
Abusive behavior is punished with a posting ban. Repeated or severe abuse will include a playing ban.
The duration will depend on the seriousness of the Abuse. The whole clan can also be affected if the clan leader or multiple players are involved.
Logins
It is strictly forbidden to use anyone else's account or to let someone else use your account, no matter the reason. Using the ClanBase login of any other user, no matter how it was obtained, is regarded as a serious offence. A 3 month, 6 month or 12 month ban will be issued depending on the severity of the abuse.
When an account appears to be sold or is used by someone else to circumvent our suspension system, it will be suspended for 120 months, both playing and posting.
Cheating
In-game cheating during a ClanBase match:
- Traces of cheats (e.g. variable settings) without actually cheating: 3 month ban for the player, forfeit loss for the clan.
- Cheating (aimbot, wallhack, spiked models, ...): 12 month ban for the player. If the cheating occured in a Cup match, the clan will be removed from the cup. If the cheating occured in a Ladder match, the clan will be issued a forfeit loss
- Anyone who fails to comply with 3 or more demo requests in 12 months will be suspended from playing for 3 months.
After a suspension the count of failed requests is set to 0.
In-game cheating outside ClanBase:
- On a Public / Clan server: 6 month ban
- In any tournament, ladder or similar not organized by ClanBase: 12 month ban
- However ClanBase will only act if the evidence of the cheating is brought to us in full and the identity of the cheater can be determined with certainty. If the evidence is unclear or incomplete, the report will be discarded. Clans will not be held responsible for the actions of their players on public servers unless the cheating player is the clan leader. Read the for the procedure to report external cheats.
If a Clan uses a banned player (also applies to ClanBase Hosted Cups):
- Match the offence occured in will be forfeited.
- The one allowing the player to enter the clan (f.e. by re-inviting the player or by setting a key so players can re-invite themselves) will be banned for 3 months.
Producing and/or distributing:
- Game exploits: 3 month ban.
- Cheats (wallhack, aimbot, etc): 12 month ban.
Buying cheats which can be used in online tournaments:
- Game exploits: 3 months
- Cheats (wallhack, aimbot, etc): 6 month ban
Using altered files which lead to the use of a cheat or traces of a cheat will be punished according the earlier mentioned policies.
Punishments
for individual players:
- 1/3/6/12 month(s) ban. After this time the player is then allowed to play again.
- A player that was just unbanned has to go through the new member procedure before being allowed to play for any clan that is competing in an ongoing cup.
- Players caught cheating for a second time within 36 months after their last suspension will receive the following punishment:
- If the previous suspension period was shorter than 6 months, 6 months from playing
- If the previous suspension period was shorter than 12 months, 12 months from playing
- If the previous suspension period was 12 months or longer, permanent (120 months) from playing
If the cheat involved abuse, forum spamming or any other form of posting, a posting ban will be included for the same period.
- Any player found playing while currently serving a ban, will receive the following punishment:
- If the suspension period is shorter than 6 months, 6 months from playing
- If the suspension period is shorter than 12 months, 12 months from playing
- If the suspension period is 12 months or longer, permanent (120 months) from playing
- Any player creating a new account (this includes re-activating old accounts) while currently serving a ban, will receive the following punishment:
- If the suspension period is shorter than 6 months, 6 months from playing
- If the suspension period is shorter than 12 months, 12 months from playing
- If the suspension period is 12 months or longer, permanent (120 months) from playing
- All bans apply to all cups and ladders on ClanBase ( including hosted cups and LAN events).
- Anyone caught cheating in an official ClanBase match, will have the result changed into a forfeit loss. Only games where the cheating occured will be changed.
- Anyone caught cheating in a public server or an outside league, will result in a ban only. Results of any ClanBase games in which they have participated, will not be changed.
for clans:
- A forfeit loss in a ladder match means 120 points are lost.
- A forfeit loss in a cup corresponds to a normal loss, but in accordance with the cup rules a clan may be removed from the cup when it has forfeited a certain amount of matches.
- A clan ban means the clan as a unit is banned from all ClanBase competitions. It is always accompanied by individual player bans.

Notes
- This policy applies to all competitions organized by ClanBase including ladders, cups, hosted cups and LAN events.
- You are responsible for your GUID. Anyone cheating with that ID will be considered to be you (with GUID we mean every unique identifier used in games: steamID, PB guid, XBL Gamertag, etc) unless it can be proven someone else illegally used your ID.
- Any GUID that has been used by someone cheating, will be permanently banned.
- Any cheat or trace of it found on your PC by Official AntiCheat Software, is your responsibility. "I was just testing" or "someone else used my PC" is never, ever an excuse.
- Cheat warnings that are the result of known bugs in AntiCheat Software do not count as traces of cheats, all other cheat warnings do.
- It is not allowed to use multiple accounts at the same time. If you are in more than one clan, you must have all your personalities linked.
- It is the clans responsibility to check any new players they add to their clanpage on ClanBase.
- Falsifying evidence is punishable with a 6 months ban.
- Anyone who is currently banned, cannot request or Supervise a Hosted cup.
- Bans are issued at various times, because of this it is impossible for us to see if there are any ongoing or scheduled matches for offending players.
- It is the player's responsibility to check to see if they have been issued a ban.
- Players have until 30 minutes before their scheduled match to check if a ban has been issued. If a ban has not been issued by then, they are free to play that match regardless if a ban is then issued.
