News by: Cash - Comments (25) Following the hot action from last weekend at the EuroCup LAN Finals, ClanBase has compiled a photo gallery to give you an oversight of what went down, what the venue looked like and above all, the faces behind the players that made this EuroCup LAN Finals one of the best events in ClanBase's history.
Check out over 200 pictures in the official ClanBase EuroCup LAN Finals Gallery! Over the upcoming days more pictures will be added. Be sure to check those out as well... by: Wabbit - Comments (28) The EuroCup XIII LAN-finals are now over and what a tournament it has been. Who would have quessed that Check6 would march into win over all the other teams. Let's go on to final in details: by: Bleah - Comments (4) Although NoA showed strength in their first match against 4Kings, they unexpectedly lost versus Speedlink which they made up for when they met them once more, in the final. Congratulations to by: Cash - Comments (38) The 19-years-old Kevin "Rotterdam" van der Kooi shocked the world today by beating some of Europe's (and the world's) finest in order to win the EuroCup trophy.
Having shined on the international stage on several occasions this year, going undefeated through his ESWC group and finishing second in Asus Summer, no one saw it coming that this replacement player would go so far. Read this exciting interview conducted moments after the finals finished.
All fans expected a tight match with a tight victory from NoA, as team speedlink had beaten NoA yesterday in winner bracket war. But it seems like NoA had a great day today, as they have beaten 4Kings and then team speedlink with a great supremacy. The match was not even tight. Team speedlink did not even stand a chance to turn things around as also the score indicates. But at the start it did not look like NoA is much better. In fact, team speedlink showed more. by: Bleah - Add comment Line up Line up Time: Finished de_nuke [1:0] de_train [1:0] by: Cash - Comments (7) Team Foe has won he EuroCup Grand Final against a-Losers, beating their fellow Swedes 3-2 in another thriller of a game. by: Malystryx - Comments (1) With the Lower Bracket match where NoA defeated Four Kings there is only one match remaining of the Counter-strike EuroCup LAN, the Grand Final. In collaboration with GZTV the Grand Final will be live on DK4 on Danish TV starting from 3pm CET. The live broadcast is being commentated by the danish shoutcasters from GZ.TV.
For those unfortunately not blessed with Danish TV a match video with shoutcasting from DJWheat & ReDeYe from our partners Inside the Game will be uploaded shortly after the match to the video on demand page. 4Kings could have revenged NoA for that starting loss, but this match proved to be the supremacy of NoA. NoA was playing a good terrorist side, as they got a minimum win 8-7, but then they proved to be well organized as counterterrorists and managed to make a magical 8-0. 4Kings did not find any good solutions against NoA's defense and even more: they made terrible mistakes by headless running around the map which gave NoA sure information on where 4Kings were moving. But after all, 4Kings tried their best but it was not enough to beat NoA.
A full matchreport will hopefully be up later today, I could not bring the notes with me. You can find the newspost about this match on the EC page. by: Malystryx - Comments (1) Tomorrow we will be graced with the Grand Final of the Warcraft 1on1 Tournament. Rotterdam the last minute replacement for SK.Deadman has progressed through the Winner Bracket after defeating 4K.Grubby and then Mouz.Sase.
Undoubtably an unexpected final with two fellow orcish Dutchmen, in particular because Grubby progressed to the final having already lost. In order to win Grubby will have to win two best-of-3's, Rotterdam will only have to win one. If RotterdaM wins he will be hailed as the ultimate replacement having recently beaten the player who he replaced (SK.Deadman) in WC3L yesterday 2-1. We will cover the Grand Final in full on the main stage with audio cast as well as live video stream courtesy of GzTV and VODs thanks to Radio ITG. by: Bleah - Comments (3) by: Cash - Comments (3) On day two, the EuroCup ClanBase LAN finals slowly progress to the climaxes in Quake 4, Call of Duty 2, Warcraft III and Counter Strike.
By the end of this day, Call of Duty II would see its EuroCup XIII champion. Warcraft III would only have its Consolation Final played, which would be between Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen, Kim "SaSe" Hammar. However, the action with Four Kings, NoA, GoodGame and Speedlink for Counter Strike was yet to commence. by: Malystryx - Comments (18) With Dignitas' solid performance versus Tek-9 especially Trainee & Danes they sealed a 16-12 victory on Dawnville. Therefore Dignitas will once again face Crow and his crew of mercs in a Check-Six versus Dignitas rematch. Dignitas coming from the Lower Bracket will have to defeat Check-Six twice due to the tournament following the double elimination format.
We want to hear your thoughts? Who will win the final and why? by: Wabbit - Comments (5) Tek-9 came close to another surprise on CoD2 EC-LAN finals. It was really a close call that ended in favor of dignitas with the score of 16-13. It was all about good attack and bad defence.
Most bet their money on NoA, and it looked like that was the case in the first rounds, but something went wrong for them in the second part of the match... by: Cash - Comments (3) Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen had a weekend of mixed emotions. Losing to RotterdaM was definitely a huge dissappointment for him and an upset for a very large part of the Warcraft III community. However, Grubby bounced back after a long night of sleep and wasn't as sloppy as he was against RotterdaM. In that match, a few mistakes cost him the game.
Today, only on the first map his game wasn't flawless and lost too many units early in the game when SaSe attacked with Ancients of War. Nevertheless, in round 2, Grubby showed his resilience and played convincingly ever. He won 2-1 and qualified himself for the Grand Final for fellow countryman Kevin "RotterdaM" van der Kooij, making it an all-Dutch matchup. Grubby tells his story of the past two days... by: Dervey - Comments (1) Following the action can be hard with so much going on, but now we are pleased to announce that there are more demos to watch, and our playoff layout trees have been updated, letting you know who is taking the spot closer to the top.
In addition to the demos, we of course also have the live GZtv stream, and the awesome VOD playback files produced by Radio iTG! With all this coverage happening, you probably know more than we do!
Although at some point we believed GoodGame could be the winner in the match because of a win in the first round, but 4Kings quickly hammered that theory in the ground. by: Cash - Comments (2) The main reason that players attend events is ofcourse to come out on top, take the glory and the prizemoney that comes along with it.
But there is a whole lot more to it for these players. One of the gamers attending this year's EuroCup LAN Finals is Gregory "drush" Aptekman from a-Losers. While trying to play his best with his team in the Quake 4 TDM, there is a lot more to these events for him...
Favourites were Speedlink, mainly because GoodGame wasn't originally invited to the EC LAN but got lucky. Were they equally lucky in this match? This reporter doesn't believe so... by: Bleah - Comments (15) Thanks to the wonderful people of GZtv, we are now able to serve you with live streaming for the EC XIII LAN Finals matches! Click here to watch. Disclaimer: A number of people are having trouble with viewing this live stream, please understand that this is not a ClanBase nor GGL stream but it is property of GZtv, meaning that we (CB or GGL) do not have any control over it.
Both clans fought really hard, but NoA seemed to be in control throughout the match despite the start of a comeback by Four Kings.

In one of the most cursed matches in the history of the LAN finals, by: Cash - Comments (1) One of the biggest upsets of today's EuroCup LAN Finals was the elimination of Speedlink. First losing to Check Six was rather surprising, but losing to Tek9 was a deception the Germans will remember for a long time. Talking to Trigger, you could see the disbelief on his face. One of the players that played a huge factor in the annihilation is Davy Sysmans from Tek9. This is his story...
by: Wabbit - Comments (8) The underdogs of the EC-LAN goes to Grand Finals! There is one word what happened to Dignitas on this match, they got zEminised. I lost the count on some point of the match how many rounds zEm took for the Check6, he took 1on1 situations, 2on1 situations even 3on1 situations. He really was in flames and has to be selected as the man of the match, maybe even the whole tournament. by: Wabbit - Comments (7) The big surprise on CoD2 EC-LAN just waited to be announced. I think not anyone thought that Speedlink would be the team that would be heading home after just one day. But tek-9 just were too much this time for Speedlink and that leaves the Speedlink score on LAN to devastating zero wins, two loses. by: Malystryx - Add comment
by: RiGHT - Comments (6) With the first Quake 4 TDM matches to start in a few hours, it is time to taste the opinions amongst the Quake 4 fans on who are the big favorites for this 13th edition of the ClanBase EuroCup. Inside is a preview on the upcoming action and we have some quotes from several people on what will be happening tonight and in the next few days. by: Wabbit - Comments (10) Check-6 really gave the first surprise on the CoD2 -LAN finals. None could have expected their win over the German powerhouse Speedlink, but still they were able to take them down with clear win 10-16. by: Cash - Add comment Second upset at EuroCup: Speedlink trips over Check Six

by: Malystryx - Add comment With the EuroCup LAN Finals commencing tommorrow it is time for some background on the last remaining Warcraft participant, prae.Paladyn. by: Carmac - Comments (5) Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen is the most accomplished WarCraft 3 player in the world. But, surprisingly, the one trophy that has eluded him so far is the ClanBase EuroCup. The Dutch superstar will be taking his third stab at winning it this weekend in Aarhus, Denmark. by: Cash - Add comment The ClanBase EuroCup LAN Finals have seem to struck an ill-faithed start as today, WarCraft III player Deadman had to give up his spot for another player being unable to get a visa into Denmark. by: Wabbit - Comments (4) Check Six have gone from a team in control, totally dominating their EuroCup group without breaking a sweat, to total collapse due to internal and financial issues.
However, it must be said that their short while of dominance was rather impressive as hardly anyone thought that teams with the caliber of Speedlink or Dignitas would have to bow for such a team. It raises one of the biggest questions the entire EuroCup LAN finals. How well this totally rejuvenated team, which would be described as a "mixteam" by many, do? The answer lies only days away when the Call of Duty LAN finals commence on friday. To kill the remaining hours until the action stations, let's check out their road to the EuroCup Lan Finals. by: maxi - Comments (7) The last time when there was Finnish talent in the Call of Duty EC finals, was exactly one year ago when idle.ee aka schoolgirlz faced teams such Ocrana.ATI, riZe and WHO Crew. The Finns managed to get the well deserved 4th spot while WHO Crew took the 3rd spot just after riZe and Ocrana.ATI. Now, again we have Finland chipping in the pool of Call of Duty's finest players and they will all gather in Denmark at the LAN finals. However, this time it is not an all-Finnish line up. by: erazor - Comments (3) After the recent irritations around the addition of famous pro-player You can find the interview courtesy of http://www.ampedsports.com over here, which is the site TheRogue also covers for besides his supervisor-work at ClanBase. by: Malystryx - Comments (12) With the EuroCup LAN finals just days away we are disheartened to announced that NiP Gaming will not be competing in the LAN finals. However no EuroCup would be worthy of it's title without an array of nationalities and the French team Good Game have shown they are keen to participate in the LAN finals and a worthy replacement for NiP-Gaming. by: Cash - Comments (20) This weekend, team FOE, one of the four finalists for the ClanBase EuroCup in Quake 4 TDM has replaced Patrik "zyvve" Siren by the last minute stand in Mikael "PURRI" Tarvainen. They were forced to take drastic actions when zyvve would not attend the LAN finals. by: Malystryx - Comments (5) With the EuroCup LAN finals soon upon us it is time for us to look a little closer at another finalist for the Warcraft3 EuroCup 1on1, this time we shall enlighten you to the history of Swedish player Mouz.Sase.

This coach cannot be on teamspeak or ventrilo or a compareble program and cannot be on a pc in-game. A coach can only stand behind or near his team. I do want to also tell all the clans to please please remember there will be a tv station present. So please make sure all of the players and ESPECIALLY a coach, standing behind the players, are dressed up representing your clan and any possible sponsor in the nicest possible way. Some nice clan t-shirts alsways do nicely on TV :) by: Killerman - Add comment If a television broadcast and several live internet broadcastings are not enough for you here is some good news. Although the illustrious title defenders iCE cLIMBERS will not participate, the Swedish Quake 4 scene is represented as strongly as ever. Three teams have made it to the final four of the tournament: FOE, Legacy of the Mob (lm) and a-Losers.MSI (aL). The fourth one to complete the finals is none other than one of the strongest Quake 3 TDM and CTF teams in the world, Against All Authority (aAa). by: Malystryx - Comments (2) With the EuroCup LAN finals soon upon us it is time for us to look a little closer at the finalists for the Warcraft3 EuroCup 1on1, starting with a full-blown feature on SK.Deadman.
