What or who is CBooky ?

CBooky is your online ClanBase Cup bookmaker. He lets you place bets on matches in the ClanBase EuroCups.

The money to place bets is taken from your wallet. Each day CBooky puts € 1.500 in your wallet with a maximum of € 10.000.

When you place your bets, you can see the odds for each match. If the odds that clan XYZ will win are 5 to 1, you will win 5 times the amount you bet if XYZ lose ('against all odds'). If they win, you get 1/5.

Betresults are processed during the night following the match.

How do I place my bets ?

You can place your bets for upcoming matches on the Place yer Bets page, where else. You can find a link to that page on the Cup page, in the frame at the right: 'New'
Simply select an amount and the winning clan. You don't have to bet on each match and you can add new bets later on.

You can place bets until 1 hour before the start of the match.

What if a match ends in a tie ?

You cannot bet on a tie. If a match results in a tie, all bets are added to CBooky's own capital. He needs that to cover his expenses...

What if a match ends in a default win ?

If a clan doesn't show up for a match the opponent wins by default. A default win is treated just like a regular win.

Is there some sort of ranking page ?

The ClanBase Rich and Famous page lets you see who has been doing well with his bets. Rankings per Cup are also kept (see Cuppages) and there is even a Country Ranking !

Uhmm, all my money is gone

CBooky will lend you the money, no problem. His interest rates are based on what is common in Sicily.

Where can I see the results of all my bets ?

The results of all your bets are shown on your personal homepage.

Can I bet on my own clan's matches ?

Sure.

Can Cup Admins bet on 'their' matches ?

Cup Admins have been carefully selected by us from church choirs, scout's societies and members of the aristocracy. We believe they can be trusted not to disqualify a clan just to gain a few lousy euros.

I want to cash my capital and retire in the south of France

CBooky has invested your money in junkbonds. Selling those bonds now would be a bad idea. Please call back next week.

Is it OK to bet on a loss of my own clan ?

Yes, that's very smart actually: you will never lose that way !

Why do you host a bookmaking system ?

We at ClanBase believe that betting, like online gaming, is an invention of the devil and we therefore actively promote it.

Primo: betting on matches is not gambling but requires knowledge and skill.
Secundo: technically speaking, the betting takes place on this server located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hardly anything is illegal here.
Tertio: betting is good for the economy (especially CBooky's economy)
Quarto: ClanBase waves all responsibility. In fact, we don't even know this CBooky guy.
