Hi,

Just wondering why are all players who were banned unbanned again?
I see the topic got deleted, so i think the community deserves an explanation.

Doesn't make a whole load of sense that TZAC should be defending players banned by PB. Evenbalance responds to tickets where regarding bugs or misappropriated bans, and thus they should be contacted and relied on to do their jobs.

Meh, interesting tactics nonetheless.

GV response:

Yesterday evening I received the reply from TZAC, stating that their last update might be the problem. Depending on that Email GV has lifted all bans for CoD2, that are based on an official PB Violation kick. Which means MD5TOOL and CVAR bans are NOT affected. Also we only lifted the bans between 11.06.2012 00.00 CET 13.06.2012 00.00 CET.

Please keep in mind that I only talk about the GV bans. We can NOT guarantee that other AC organizations will do the same.
All appeals that are still open for this violation will be closed.

If you are suspended on a League because of this Violation, please refer the League admin to this thread & post.


Evenbalance (PB) response:

We do not find this violation to be triggered in error, and it will not be removed. It is at the discretion of the third-party ban list administrator to remove any ban given as a result of this violation.


Interpret that as you will but they were unbanned by GV based on the fact some "may be" tzac related so their CB suspensions were lifted.

It almost sounds like PB had valid bans, nobody really knows what caused it but yet all the bans will be deleted? The hell is wrong here o.o It should be "safe than sorry" when it comes to hacking and as evenbalance stated "We do not find this violation to be triggered in error." Some srs shit going on.

Obviously TZ-AC fixed those errors since e.g. osmica isn't getting kicked any more, same goes for others. I doubt that all the players re-installed windows to prevent getting kicked.

It specifically sounds like they were pretty much all legitimate bans, and people have someone convinced tzac and gv that they weren't. I'm fairly unsurprised.

FYI, a PB kick doesn't result in a ban. I've been kicked a whole lot of times because of mumble positional audio. PB knows better than to ban people without actually having a good idea of which cheat they were using.

TZAC admin told me that tzac caused some bans.

People whine that "oh oh not all violations are the same so, some hackers were unbanned"

Well if thats correct, we rather unban a hacker than ban a clean player.

If evenbalance thinks TZAC is a hack, they will say its a "valid ban".

explain me than why did only specific players get banned on that day and why isn't everybody who played on that day banned? it was the same update for everybody for god sake.

Because every system is different, tzac admin told me that he can only test it with a limited amount of systems.

Ye I guess the same, it's related to specific operating system such as windows, also some programs that were run could cause it if those affect on TZ-AC, who knows.
