Reply | Several ideas have been floating around base camp over the last few weeks and we wanted to put some of them into action. For the moment we have made changes to three sections of the rulebook which effects all ladders. Some more ideas will be following very shortly. We as always appreciate all feedback we can get that can help us make this a better game for you.
5. Client Settings - Section 1
It is forbidden to deliberatly cause black Screenshots. Use of "Remove Freez LAG" feature in UAC3 and Anti Alias "ON" can result in Black Screenshots. If a user is found to be running the "Remove Freez LAG" feature in UAC3 and suffers with Black Screenshots he/they will be considerd as knowingly trying to avoid screenshots being made by UAC and therefor will lose the war by forfeit. If a user has a black screen you should check a black screen from that user in UAC. Select "user information / log " tab, search for the section Anti-Freeze: True/ False. When a player has "true" the result will be a forfeit loss of the match.
Update to - 5. Client Settings - Section 3
Config settings that give a distinct advantage over the opponent, may be deamed as config abuse and will lead to a forfeit loss.
Such edits include:
- The use of removal of scenery and objects.
- Changing the Colour of the sky.
- Edits to Radar are strictly forbidden. Such edits would include changing of the size of the radar and use of a firing line.
- Changing size of Player Names.
Other cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to see if they do give an unfair advantage.
Additional rule - 6. Server Settings
Demo client is Mandatory for all matches. Demo client is for the purpose of players being able to review situations in a match that are deemed suspicous. Please note, that it is Mandatory to record in_eyes demos for the purpose of match conflicts and timestamps. |

Reply | How does changing the colour of the sky give any advantage? Ive seen it before but cant imagine it gives an advantage :<
And are we still allowed to change the size if icons in the radar? Friendly+obj arrows etc

Reply | When you change the colour of the sky there will be less detailed graphics (f.e. trees/bushes/fog etc.) which will give a clear advantage so therefore it isn't allowed.
About your other question: As long as it won't give any kind of advantage it should be allowed. |
