now people would be misguided for what I just written above , but I think after 2 years of absence A eurocup is in mind
Why is that ?
very simple , more and more people are coming back to the game written above are a few decent clans that I remember at least for now . not to mention the possibility of hungarian , portugal and polish clans joining in this is just a pure example that yes It can be made , It's a eurocup people will be dedicated to make it active Wasn't nationscup a good proof ?
most people would tell me that there is not ec material players hanging around but to be honest this is as close to what it can get , People say mohaa is dead well how come people come here and still wanna play matches
All Im saying , a Eurocup can be made and I hope it will be

Reply | It's unlikely apathy, syk and knights will all get active teams seeing as a lot of the players are in the same clans.
An EC on the other hand may attract some of the older players to come back, but, for this to happen, the community need to try and bring back some of the old players and the admins need to either recruit new active admins, or try out some new ideas to make people want to play again.
I know the game is 10 years old or so, but a lot of people still love it and it still has a lot to offer in my opinion. |

Reply | I agree: it has to come from both sides. I'm still finishing a university project, so until the end of August, I won't have much time to invest in MoH:AA. Once that is over, I can attend to the matters that require attention:
- closing all demo cases and conflicts
- finalizing the addition of MOHAAC to our ladders and cups.
- cleaning up the MoH:AA crew and add new admins if required.
Anyway, the Fall 2012 season will be announced at the end of August, so we'll be looking into possible cups as usual. |

Reply | The fisrt step is the will to do something, without this no thing can be done.
We would all like to see an EC and the old players returning to this game. Perhaps the sole idea of realizing an EC 2 years after the last one will make one or other player "call his friends" and get a team.
The ladders don't quite show the activity nowadays, if a major cup would be hosted with fabulous prizes you would see the activity raising exponentially.
We arent that skilled but are doing our best to keep this game alive with 50+ matches / month

Reply | In case of an EC, we would request that all clans who sign up for it give us the nicknames of at least 6 players who would play the cup for them  |

Reply | It's more than likely a pretty shit idea, but IMO if each clan that participated in the EC put in 30 Euros in each, which was then used to either give as a prize pool at the end.
It's just something to play for... People in MOHAA these days don't play cups for for the same reasons they would of years ago.. so having something to play for may increase activity.
Also.. a high profile player, or someone well known for his participation in the game should be recruited as an admin to give the CB crew a better idea of what is going on, and give them a better idea on what clans to pick.
I think CB have always lacked a GOOD high profile MOHAA player, and by good I mean someone who has a good knowledge of what the game needs. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but how can an admin really see what the game needs, if they have never really played at the top.
Also, for some reason, CB think a cup should be for everyone.. when it should be given to the clans who show activity in ladders. You guys really should stop adding clans with the same players. Every season 50% of the players don't know who they are playing for yet. |

Reply | I gotta say and Im not hating the admins or anything But yes They lack a good player on the cb crew , It was demanded many times before ( I think when probe9 became one )
also on a side note , I seen briandj streamed some NC matches and also someone shoutcasted the finals ( dont remember who ) But If every (or most ) of the matches get streamed , People may come back or find their way back into here Plus streams are nice
It's a pretty interesting idea to put money and make a prize pool out of it , But to be honest I don't see it hapenning maybe not the next eurocup ( if it's gonna be) but the one after if that's ever gonna happen  |

Reply | A well informed source has told me that (most likely) the next EuroCups will have hardware prizes (as usually) and maybe even some small prize money. Cups with entry fees are against CB policy. Anyway, the point of an OpenCup is that it is available to everyone who signs up and meets the usual requirements. That's why ClanBase hosts EC's... They are for the best clans around, obviously.
And about top players as admins. Let me give you some names: phyze, katz, nash, etc... I've seen them come and go. All of them were either annoyed by the tasks they had to perform or disgusted with the community they were trying to help. During the last application we opened another top player applied, but after a short talk, he said that he didn't want to do it anymore.
Even admins like Dictator, ko3ki3m0nst3r, thunderz and Need4Weed eventually quit. I'm not saying that they are the best players MoH:AA has ever seen, but these guys played EuroCups nonetheless.
The point of being an admin is knowing that whatever you do or decide, it will never sit well with everyone. There will always be someone who has to tell you what an awful job you are doing with your spare time...
That being said, Kinek and I are going to clean up the MoH:AA crew and the demo crew. We'll get additional man power where needed. |

CB policy is pretty crappy.. Why does it need to be a CB thing? Simply use the site as a template for the EC.. and speak to clans/player individually to sort things out. |

Let me share with you some good ideas
1- livestream of some matches (Ive seen this in nationscup before ) and If this is applied for eurocup it would be a success maybe it won't get as much viewers But at least the footage will be there
2- small highlights from a match week featuring players from all over the ec with nice action of sniper or mg etc

Reply | | Isak's stream should be ok already, showed me some recordings and gave him some tutorial that should fix all his problems. imba pc + cheat internet = SICK STREAM. Anyway my inets gotten pretty decent aswell and probably buying some new hardware soon so i'd probably be able to stream some games aswell. |
