New Quake Live maps planned

The free-to-play, browser-based version of Quake III Arena will get Hidden Fortress first, a map considered to be the best new arena created for Quake III on the Sega Dreamcast.
Hidden Fortress is a medium sized map with three main rooms - perfect for 6-10 player team death match, clan arena and free for all gameplay.
The other five to come will be a mixture of new and classic maps.

Couldn't agree more. The two things that QL needs above all else is Private Servers and a larger competitive map pool. I think the brand new maps that are coming will be better suited to competitions. I certainly hope so anyway. Update last night was nice btw! | |

QL desperately needs some proper competative maps if cups are to become a succes 3 proper QL CTF maps 2 proper QL CTF-TA maps uhmm... 3? proper TDM maps (I'd love CPM4 back again or something similar, seeing how extremely rail-heavy QL is) 1 proper CA map, cant think of more at least, perhaps qzdm6 as well, but that map is just boring and small in a CA clan war some duel maps, but hardly any extremely high quality of the old custom duel maps that were created for Q3 its not enough for any serious league imo... | |
