id's Marty Stratton has
said there will be a 'fairly large update' for Quake Live next Tuesday.
Stratton also posted information regarding the game update policies for Quake Live, which is important for all league and tournament players; from now on updates will arrive on Tuesdays, but not every Tuesday.
We will get informed a week before every Quake Live update is released via
Twitter and in the
forums. Emergency maintenance or important patches will be released straight away, although these are 'rare', said Stratton.
A 'fairly large update' will arrive next Tuesday, 14 July with the changelog published at the same time. No further information regarding the content of the update has been disclosed yet.
The server downtime for rolling out the update will take around 3-4 hours which will take place in the morning (US Central Time), so Europeans should brace themselves for an evening without Quake Live. Players are advised to check their schedules ahead of the update.
