This game is made for consoles and yes it's noobish.
Thats why no peak/lean so it would be easier to kill/get killed by noobs who dont know how to aim (and the dmg taken is much higher than in COD4, almost like in cod4 HC mode)

Yes i bought it unfortunately, and this is spray and pray game.
Less skill is required, while 2 bullet is killing you in 80% you will see the enemy only on killcam.

If they put the COD4 gameplay to MW2 this would be realy one of the best game. As you can see the user score on Gamespot in only 5.5.

I didn't think I'd really like the game, I was wrong. The game looks real nice and I even enjoy playing public. They need to fix something for matches though, cause otherwise you are going to have level differences etc. But it has potential imo.

/record is required for leagues. Especially with all the hackers these days. This game is dead to me untill they fix it for competitive.

Great game!

Too much shit on screen. Flotaing debris, mist, snow. Too much vegetation in a lot of levels. Too many places to hide/lame and too many places to be shot from. No clean maps.

The antilag is worse than ever along with the hit detection. Don't even need to shoot on people anymore just around them.

Doesn't play well in SND can see it playing ok in CTF/TDM.

Having said all that it's good fun and cod4 was just as bad at the start and took over a year of modding to make it playable.

We only need a clanwar system like in combat arms by example

Oki i'll tell you guys something. The game itself will be or is awesome i don't have doubts about that. Gameplay will be improved, graphics etc etc.

What you all forget is that your multyplayer experience is good because the matchmaking system searches for the best server or servers for you where you can play on. Basicly this means that you will be playing with people from your own country or countries not far away from yours where the connections are good.

But competive gaming doesn't expect a system to search the best server for you to play on, it expects you to join up with 10 players ( 5vs5 ).... Alltough this aint a problem as you can disable perks etc etc for playing matches there still exists a problem for private clanmatches. I give an example:

5 people from a Polish clan are Playing against a Belgian or dutch clan. In our dedicated model we can say that if the server is dutch Polish people rather don't play on the server as it's high pinged for them. But in the other way it's also true... we don't like to play on Polish servers because of the ping. These dedicated servers standing in professional datacenters with far much better connections can't even assure you to get a descent ping on this situation. What was the solution by this? Well let's take a german server, it's good for Belgians and rather good for polish people.

In our new modern warfare 2 model there isn't a dedicated model... what means that somehow a player on itself is a host. I heard people telling they love the matchmaking system and that it's good because you're connecting onto a infinity Ward server. Well to those people come back to earth. Do you actually think infinity Ward is setting up servers all over the world to let connect milions of players on, this would cost them alot of more money than they get from selling the game probably and another negative thing would be, if a server crashes in some country, no one can play the game they paid for. So actually the player itself will be the host, it's the one with the best connection i suppose. Anyway how do you think you can play in our situation against the Polish clan? if 1 of the Belgians has the best connection, the Polish will Lagg or have a high ping and if 1 of the Polish has the best connection, the Belgians will have troubles. A solution could be, let's get a german?

I don't want to break this game or something, but i heard like people, there was a Japanese on our server he didn't had lagg. Don't believe such things... even dedicated he gets 200+ ms delay and these dedicated servers does have better connections than people in there living room. The game itself is lovely, i should love to play it, but for clanmatches international it will be hard to do and to get everyone satisfied. Normally it should work when it stays between your own country or neighboor countries.

BUT whole the system does have a positive point! On LANS this is the best system you can have, especially for LAN orga's. This because they don't need any fysical servers anymore for hosting cod4 servers on. In LAN everyone has a good connection and is on the same segment what means normally nobody should lagg. So in LANS i believe, but what does this help the online community where it's all about? the only thing we can hope is that they patch the game and bring in dedicated servers.

And please don't start to whine this is not true and stuff, i'm not trying to break this game, i rather should see this game becoming competive aswell but i personally have my doubts for international matches. And people who are against it are not stupid, theyaint against the game but against the system. But like i said, you should do the test, get Hungarians, Polish, Croatia people and try to do a 5vs5 against Dutch or even Swedish, Finnish people, only than we can be 100% sure. Test it out and maybe the community knows what to do...

the co-op mode is just so fucking NAIS

Prob the best FPS i've played yet. It's only you die hard old school stupid mother fuckers who doubt MW2 because it has no dedicated servers. Sit down, take time, research, it's very easy to organise and play matches, it's as flexible as most other games, just in a different way, you're just stupid.

Excellent game and looking forward to getting into it....however very disappointed they've removed the lean function....why would they do this?..its what sets cod apart from cs.

- Singleplayer is short but enjoyable & at times breathtaking.

- Graphics & gameplay are ace!

- Multiplayer is based on the succesful MF 1 and they made it bigger, better and even more timeconsuming with all the unlockable goodies

- Special Ops can be challenging & good fun for 2

- Steam is a reliable account-provider overal & very easy to buy and download games (&updates) from when shops are closed. No less than xfire.

- If matchplay will become (somehow) as in MF 1 I'll give a 10 out of 10!

I got MW2 on the pc and it really rocks.. Played 4 matches allready..

once u get used to steam, it is a piece of cake..

dedicated servers or not, you can still put ur server up and disable perks and stuff.. I think the game is really a succes..hopefully they expand it, so there can become a cb ladder for MW2

Multi player is good for 1 day and a bit - only so much shitty DM and FFA anyone can take.

The regular mode is too arcade and HC is limited. No clan scene at all

I was told you can modify that but I am not sure how. I think it has something to do with right clicking the game in Steam and adding extra options to the run command.

Even though there are no dedicated servers the multiplayer is pretty decent, the game is good.

from playing L4D2 Demo then MW2 i enjoyed L4D2 more lawl.

I got it on steam & pre loaded it and have to wait till the 12th

OK I played it last night and I must say I am pretty impressed. Clan wars I am not so sure about but I am sure there is a way round that. I even don't care that there is no console for tweaking because it makes the game a more fair experience to play. Look forward to playing it when I have some more energy.

I've tried to play it with some friends, you can invite people to join your game so I think will be even possible to play clan wars (will test it way more tomorrow).

I just activated it straight away. Had no problems at all.
