The previous record was held by Chirantan Patnaik from India, and stood at 40 hours and 20 minutes since September last year. So at the Twistdock Endurance Gaming Event in Rotterdam, 6 gamers decided to try and break that record; and they succeeded
After 50 hours of Red Dead Redemption, the 6 decided to quit, and thus broke the old record by almost 10 hours. Apart from seeing their names in the next Guinness Book of World Records, they also receive 1000 euros.

Not sure what exactly to say to this. Appears somewhat stupid. On the other hand they probably had a lot of fun with it, so good for them.
At least it's not one of those overly stupid things people do just to get in the Guinness Book of World Records. |
