Deadlight game inspire fan to make awesome trailer
by: MadUSA

It's not often a fan produces a live-action trailer for a videogame, and certainly not of this quality, but that's exactly what Californian filmmaker Jason Forge has done in his short film entitled "Escaping Deadlight".

Jason describes himself as "a dude who loves to film and edit with a dose of VFX" - please go and check out all his work here, which includes other videogame based material.

Jason were asked a few questions about himself, the film and how it came into being:

Where are you from?
I'm from LA, California.

What inspired the movie?
The game has a great story. It was designed and played like no other zombie game I've ever played. The story was very interesting and easy to fall into. I had to make a short film out of it!

How much did it cost to make, and how long did it take?
We worked on a $400 budget and shot over the course of 3 days.

When did you make it?
We shot it on weekends cause of my schedule. We started out mid September and ended in early October.

How did you make it?
I wrote a small script for it. I figured it would be more of a narrative to follow the likes of the game. Then found locations and busted out the good old camera and shot it.

Where was it filmed?
It was filmed at a few locations not far from my home in a city of Irwindale, CA and West Covina, CA.

Have you made any fan made movies of your favorite game, or just dreamt about it?
