"From the press releases"... Release date for Shootmania
by: MadUSA

Ubisoft and Nadeo announced that Shootmania Storm, the online multiplayer first-person shooter, will be released on April 10th, 2013.

Developed by Ubisoft’s Nadeo studio, ShootMania Storm follows the footsteps of TrackMania, Nadeo’s successful arcade racing game, to present a new dimension in first-person shooter. As part of the ManiaPlanet system, ShootMania Storm puts players at the center of their gaming experience. To date, players have created more than 15 game modes and, already, more than 20,000 maps have been created by players using ManiaPlanet’s proprietary map editor.

“Nadeo’s model of development has always been to be very close to the community, said Anne Bondel-Jouin, Managing Director of Nadeo Live, and following the release of the Beta 2 in December, we received a tremendous amount of information from the very active ShootMania community. For a living, online multiplayer title like this the work is never done, but these extra few weeks will allow us to polish the game further and release it to the level of quality we think our players deserve.”

Meanwhile, Shootmania Storm keeps being very active on the eSport scene, recently participating in the IPL 5 tournament in Las Vegas, Electronic Sports World Cup 2012 in Paris, or i47 in the UK. Nadeo and Ubisoft continue in their plan to make ShootMania a major player in international eSports in the years to come, and have already announced their participation to IPL 6 and numerous other online and offline competitions.

Shootmania Storm’s pre-order offer is still available through to April 10th at Shootmania.com.

I wasn't complaining about the number of options MadUSA, I just see that there is an inherent lack of activity in the different cups and ladders. I remember the days certain ladders had 15k+ matches every 30 days

Hence why I said that maybe the ingame ranking systems in games like CoD etc. might have led to this.

I've made alot of suggestions back when I was on the CB crew I think clanbase never really grew beyond what it originally was. E-Sports has grown so much, yet CB never really tagged along with appealing tournaments on a bigger scale.

I don't understand how much effort there is in creating one or two ladders? Just put some basic rules in place, pick 2 gamestypes and press the button? The rules can always be updated if things don't go smoothly.
If the game supervisor is not able to open a few ladders then why is he/she even a game supervisor? What can possibly prohibit this person from investing ~30-60 minutes and finally get this game going on CB? Or am I wrong and is opening ladders a task that requires many weeks?

If some ladders are opened then the rules and maps can be tested before the cupseason starts! If things continue like this the cups will start without testing any maps or gamestypes and it will be chaotic to say the least. Although I even wonder if any cups will be opened if this keeps up

And I fully agree with DY, quick cups have never been used a lot and opened quick cups are very hard to find. Quick cups are in no way a replacement for ladders or real (euro/open/featured) cups.

Ladder > Quick Cups

With only some unfindable QuickCup you won't get much activity..

Assie we've got a feature for creating QuickCups - http://clanbase.ggl.com/cup_create.php feel free to host some tournaments! :P

What else besides ladders and cups do you expect from a league site?
