The concept of Vanilla

There's a conflict of interest inside the workings of ClanBase. On one side we always want to bring the highest quality of competitions with each game we support, but we also want to set the competitions up as fast as possible.

Unfortunately, because we want nothing but the best, we're unable to open competitions as fast as we, or our community would want them. This is where Vanilla comes in.

Vanilla means unaltered, as it is, default competitions. As the game comes out of the box, we intend to put very little restrictions on it. These competitions serve multiple purposes: the community can start playing competitively instantly, and once the community starts playing, they can provide us with information based on which we can set up our regular competitions. Vanilla competitions are very fluid in nature, the rules can change rapidly and the community is given the opportunity to play by their own rules as well.

We don't know how things will work out, it might be a hit or a miss. It's as new for us as for everyone else, but we intend to learn from everything that happens, may it be positive or negative.

Because these competitions are different in nature, we intend to be more relaxed when we're faced with issues. We want you to focus on having fun rather than hunting for e-points. Be a fair player rather than a trouble maker (which also applies to everything here on CB).

In order to find matches you can, for example, try making an open challenge or automatch, search for matches in game's IRC channel or try challenging clans directly.
