As some of you may have noticed with the recent
shut down of
Game-Violations that ClanBase was looking for a new Anti-Cheat partner to partner up with. Some might say that it would be hard to replace such a partner, due to the fact we've been with them for a long time.
I'm confident and happy to say that we have found one - that is definitely worthy indeed:
PBBans
Every game on ClanBase that had their servers streamed to GV will have to stream it to PBBans now.
Cheating
old rule
All matches must be played on servers that stream to the ClanBase/Game-Violations repository. The latest version of the script is required for all ClanBase matches. Streaming information and instructions can be found
here. DO NOT FORGET to add MD5 and CVAR checks to the server, how to add those can be found
here. To check if the server you are playing on is streaming to the CB/GV repository, you can search for the server's ip on
GV's site by using 'Status Check'. The clan/player responsible for the server is also responsible for making sure it streams, their/his opponent should demand a streaming server for all matches. Matches where a streaming server cannot be organised will be cancelled. Playing continuously in non GV-streaming servers results in ladder suspension as defined in
the punishment table.

There will be a grace period in where clans can sort out the streaming. The rule will be mandatory on the
11th of March which means clans have enough time to stream their servers. In the same period the rules will be changed accordingly as well. There will be a tutorial posted soon in the ladder news items to set up your server quickly! I suggest starting to sort out the streaming as soon as possible.

Guess they won't add bans from any "third party organization", as they have no access to the whole log files. But who knows...

You got a BAN list about CB cheaters, so you could bust more cheaters if you compare your PB GUID database with PBBans Banned GUID database (you can Download the .dat databse file).
ESL also use that database synchronization with GGC-stream, if somebody busted on GGC, they immediately Ban it on ESL too, by a nice script. |

If Yes then Excellent
PBBans, as the name says runs with PB so if the game does not support PB then there's no PBBans either. Contact your local Game Supervisor for your game's info about that.

Yes, they have MPI, which you can use if you register on their site and add the streaming server to your profile (like it was on GV). |

That's why I've always been wondering why they don't generate GUIDs based on your MAC Address or Hardware...So that even if you buy a new copy of the game, you'll get the same GUID.
there are a couple of softwares that can edit those informations |
