Lineup stheno
Netherlands dommel
Netherlands Matje
Czech Republic spec
Netherlands yzRz-
Netherlands supreme

First level: mp_carentan
As per usual, we will do an examination of both teams before the proceedings of the event itself. pheno approach their 4th EuroCup game in spectacularly poor form, with three heavy losses preceeding. As we have already spent much digital ink on their lineup problems, let us conclude that neymar makes his second in a row performance as pheno's 5th. m4Ts had a poor showing in their last match on mp_toujane and it will be interesting to examine his performance on carentan.

On the other face of the coin, the coin being used here to denote the familiar but distinguishable difference between both teams being part mix, are stheno. With a core of extremely experienced players, they have nevertheless found this particular EuroCup quite challenging, both performance and stability wise. For the loss against iNsaNe in matchweek 1 they recalled the CTF legend LadyBoy [nytro] , before recalling the talented but out of shape yzRz- for their last couple of games.

supreme returns again to stheno's side in a mixing capacity, with his team ephix playing EuroCup with five already. spec is a late addition in regards to his timely arrival as 5th after pistolbash had already occured, having plenty of experience in this side, as they won ECXXIII together, against what is today team ephix.

As previously mentioned, the pistolbash began 4v5 and supreme simply MG'ed the commoners opposing him. As pheno naturally proceeded to defense, this was the best outcome for both teams anyhow, as stheno wanted the attack.

The opening frag goes to dommel, as we indeed see neymar on shotty again. With Smashval fragging all over, dommel does suceed in getting a triple, but loses the 1v1 to the much berated Belgian. Smashval gets another two in the second round to bring the 1v1 power to supreme, which denies him his second clutch in a row. Score 1-1. neymar is on his third gun already in round 3, as he had picked up a rifle for the previous one. He does all the right moves but can't finish off stheno with a 44. dommel, scope in hand, drops a ridiculous 1v2 clutch to complete his 4 man takedown and take his team to 3-1. The match is quickly at 5-1, with iconz and an in form neymar desperately trying to pull it back. Tune brings some hope with his 1v2 clutch, thus leading to a resurrection in pheno's ranks, even as the attacking team already has more than enough rounds for the side switch.

neymar picks up an excellent triple with a rifle from A garden, bringing another round to his team at 5-4. yzRz- then takes over for the part Dutch, part Slavic outfit and completes another two rounds, wielding the mighty shotgun. This propels him to the top of the scoreboard, even as pheno capture the last round of the half, giving them a quite miserly 5-7 disadvantage.

spec and dommel combine for the first two rounds on defense, bringing it to an almost insurmountable 9-5 lead. dommel is dropping huge amounts of frags on axis, as yzRz- wins a 1v1 against Smashval. This makes the score 11-5. m4Ts is left in a 1v1 with yzRz-, who connects a shot, making it one of the highest ping clutches in EuroCup history [screenshot below]! stheno quickly cap the last round to win 13-5.

Conclusion
The situation in group D is extremely complicated, but we'll try and get a hold of the facts. With suXus receiving a red card and a probable forfeit, they might decide to drop out of the groupstages. If this does indeed happen, we'll have ulcerated, versus and iNsaNe on two wins, with stheno lagging behind on one win. The Turks of versus still have to play their mp_toujane match against iNsaNe. Then in the final match week, ulcerated and iNsaNe will face each other, while stheno take on versus.

Should iNsaNe lose to versus in the delayed match, versus will qualify in the top 2, and the winner of iNsane - ulcerated will take the other spot, round difference deciding who gets first.

Should iNsaNe beat versus in their delayed match, they will need to pull a draw in their match against ulcerated to guarantee qualification, upon losing, round difference will be the deciding factor.

Stheno can only qualify by beating versus with a high round difference, at the same time, versus lose to iNsaNe in the delayed match, and iNsaNe beat ulcerated with a considerable round difference.

However, should suXus decide to remain in the running, things get really really complicated. That would leave us with ulcerated on 3 wins, iNsaNe on 3 wins, versus with two and two matches, suxus with none and three matches and stheno with 1 win and two matches. This means under the right circumstances, all five clans could still qualify in the top2.

INsaNe qualify if they win any of their remaining matches. Ulcerated qualify if they win, or go fortunate with round difference. Versus qualify by beating two of iNsaNe ,stheno, versus, or beating one of them and hoping that ulcerated don't win or draw their last match. SuXus will qualify with iNsaNe beating ulcerated, on the condition of they themselves winning all three of their remaining matches with a very large round difference. Stheno will qualify if they win their last two matches and at the same time iNsaNe lose both of their matches, while they also need to watch out for round difference.

Long time stheno captain Paul "dommel" Hooglander is upbeat about his team's chances :

Let's hope it's not to late. We would never drop out even if the odds are small. Never heard of versus before , maybe a new team to eu but they're dropping some great results so I could hf them in their next eurocup
