Having been cup, ladder and game supervisor in 3 different games, I know a bit about the troubles of being a supervisor. But when a supervisor starts acting like this towards the scene, it's all moot and the supervisor in question is clearly not supervisor material.

I agree with you, blaming the community isnt the right thing to do and of course we're not there for blaming people for not playing, this is not what i meant.
I just tried to give another point of view, from the supervisor side and tried to explain his reaction, not saying what he did was good.
He of course knew that he would have to face some criticism, negative attitudes and that he would have to deal with it but even if most of the time you can easily ignore it, sometimes those things just affect you more.

And Dav, while I agree on some points, still it's never an excuse to 'blame' the community. I think you also know that SeeK kinda overreacted. There was a really active topic when he asked us about 'what gametypes' and I think that there were many options to get 10+ signups. iMix, nwmix, or just plain Assault for instance would be all better (probably).

Well, true, CB supervisors aren't robots, are human. But with applying to a supervisor position one should accept things like complaining and keep his own for himself. Simply, because he signed up for that position, which makes him responsible for that.

Supervisors arent robots, they are human like all of you (and by being a CB crew member you should know it well sero).
They spend a lot of time in trying to bring you (the community) some nice cups and all the rewards they get are complaints, insults or criticism each time they have to take a decision and unless you dont do anything their is no decision at all that can satisfy everyone.
Noone will ever thank you for what you are doing when we are supervising a cup, because most of the players think this is something we owe them.
But in the facts, we are just people like all of you, we are not paid for this (except with bad words), we just spend a lot of our free time to provide you some nice gaming time, so yes we can be mad some time and feel angry, as i said, we are humans, nothing more.

people do indeed mostly complain about supervisors, but when the supervisors start complaining to the community, they clearly demonstrate they should not be supervising at all

i don't give a shit about shit community . Fell free to apply as crew member and run yur cup or prepare to see ut2004 dying in a few on CB. People only complain about what supervisors do; help in someway to run cups and keep the community alive and we will have a good talk, on the contry just shut up and avoid dumb comments .

Imo, this was a hosted cup. You could easily one week more to see if more teams would sign up.
