The CTF cup came to its end tonight where Team Hungary beat Team Czech Republic 16:5 with a confident performance.

The Hungarians played well winning the first map (Carentan) by 6:2 and they continued their great performance on the second map (Toujane) which ended 10:3 in favour of Hungary. Both teams played well but the difference between the 2 teams was that Hungary had more so-called CTF players which helped them a lot.

Congratulations to Team Hungary for their performance during the tournament and also congratulations to the following players who fought through the cup:

So close, yet so far might be how this defeat will be edged in the memories of the French players. This match really lived up to the scale and as mentioned before in the match preview, French had to bring their A+ game and surprisingly enough they did! Hungarians struggle big time but eventually they are good enough to squeeze out an overtime, played on Toujane to finally take the win home in a decisive manner.

It's NationsCup XVI semi finals time and the first pair to go head to head for the spot in final are Hungary and France. Without a doubt both teams want to reach finals and after some forums flaming between the two, things are looking to get heated today at 21:00 CET.

Hungary going into this cup as one of the main contenders for the title, having done so far a clean sweep in the group stage and looking even more strong after convincing win over The Netherlands to be the big time favorites here versus France. A team definitely with the most CTF orientated lineup in this cup. Starting with GameR who in my eyes is the most valuable player for this team, being one of the core men of LM over the past, he probably brings the most experience and overall CTF wiseness in the most crucial moments. Team captain KRADZZjE might not feel as home in this mode as he is in S&D but yet his been here in the NC for multiple seasons and of course not to be forgotten the NC XII CTF title win back in 2009, surely a player for the big matches. RocKy the new addition of LM has been around in CTF sort of underground community least the past 4 or more years but yet his up to prove hes not just rolling along with the huge momentum that his team carries but instead can step up and perform in the level of hes teammates. Last we have the much controversial two, namely Killer81 and Judoka. Both considered by many in CTF as quite dodgy players, but they surely look hungry to establish and hopefully put the past behind them.

On the other hand we have France, led by their only soul CTF player BLACKOFF with a mountain to climb here. BLACKOFF same as captain from the rivaling team has been here to support his nation in multiple seasons before, aswell as tasted victory in NC XIII at CoD:WaW. Team in his disposal is overall not less known then that of Hungary with many solid performers from the S&D scene, yet a very unproven and so far up and down performing team here in the fight for flags. Players as mlazzje and LEKIZHEJ bring some little bit of TDM experience from the French NGTKG to slightly even the odds here with some valuable firepower. BLACKOFF would surely enjoy to put RocKy, his former back in the days novice CTF college in his place, but in order for France to get a shot here they are in a need to bring their A+ as a team and they know it.

The match started with Chelm which is somehow a new map for the scene. Finland as the favourites in this match, picked up 25flags with Croatia on the other hand, none.
Carentan wasn't a better story for them either as Finland picked up 15flags and Croatia with just 1flag there.
