Well, after a fairly long, but very interesting cup, we finally have three winners.

I would first of all like to thank everyone for signing up and taking the time to play in this cup. Its been full of good things, and also full of bad things but on the whole has been a good final cup for the BF1942 community.

The winners of the fifth ClanBase BF1942 Open Cup are :

Utopianer
masterblasters e.V.
e-sport-energy

A BIG congratulations to the teams that managed to take a win in the final games.

I would also like to thank the cup admins for doing a superb job in keeping this cup going on a match to match basis. A big pat on the back to Night_S for admining the most matches.

Ive enjoyed being the supervisor of this cup, and im sure that Meggymag will tell you exactly the same. Its been great working with most of you.

The chances are that this cup will be the last cup to take place in Battlefield 1942. The release of BF2 is imminent and providing it lives upto everyones high expectations, i feel most of the community will move over to it.

Thats it from us, SEE YOU IN BF2 !

Tonight Tooting Popular Front will meet masterblasters e.V. in the final of the 2nd Division. Both teams have made their way to the final, defeating many clans, and now they will face each other to decide the winner of the cup!
The final will be videocasted by Gamer-FM which will start appr. at 19:30 CET and the actual match will start one hour later. I wish both TPF and mb` good luck in the final!

In the clash of two big teams, Utopianer demonstrated how planes have to do their job on Gazala and brought the premier league again to Germany.

Well, once again we reach the final game of the cup. The Division 1 final is always a thrill to watch, most of the time you get good close games, so lets hope for one of those tonight.

For those that havent been following this cup, the final will be played between Utopianer and StarComa.Tagan - Battlefield1942. Two very strong german teams who will no doubt have practiced a fair bit to keep the pace up.

The final will take place tonight, starting at 20:30 CET and will have coverage from the Team Sportscast Network. dusty will once again be providing the action as it happens, and will be joined by non other than the bf casting legend Deman.
The maps for tonight are Gazala and Battle of the Bulge. It will certainly be interesting to see the outcome of this game, which is considered by many as the last competative game of Battlefield 1942, due to the release of the highly anticipated Battlefield 2.

Utopianers path to the final can be seen HERE
StarComa.Tagans path to the final can be seen HERE.

Due to many different reasons, we havent been able to provide you as much coverage as we would have liked, and for this we are sorry. The game tonight will most likely mark the end of BF1942 on such a high level at Clanbase, so its a bit of a landmark game tbh!

Tune into TsN, and get yourselves into #clanbase.bf1942 for the party!

After an exciting first round on Aberdeen, I was hoping to see more of such a good match so far, but Utopianer showed no mercy and these 18 tickets were all they left over in the end.

Wacky Germans + Spain + maritime isle? Normally Mallorca and "Ballermann 6" come to our mind. But this report is about The Pre Semifinal Match between Utopianer and x6AMD, where we saw four rounds on good old Wake Island.
