The Play-off tree is updated.The Rosters have been Created.
So it is time to start scheduling the 1/8 Finals matches.
And to play as soon as you can.
You will have untill the 1st of may to schedule and agree on your own matches with your opponent.
If you fail to do so Me or Daydreams will force the war to be played in the week of 1 may to 8 may.
We wish our final 16 clans good luck and alot of fun in this round may the best clans Advance to the Quarter Finals.

Hi guys,

At the moment version 6.06 is being played by most people, so from now on ClanBase will play that version aswell.
A small reminder about the playoffs rules:
It will be best of 3 matches, as in the first two games are allrandom and if a decider is needed, mirrormatch allrandom will be played.
(the host needs to typ -mm and after that -ar).
Do remember that playing mirrormatch means you have to wait 1 min after you get your hero, to get your final hero. So don't buy any items yet untill you have your final hero, otherwise you will lose money.
Since best of 3 matches can take a while, it is allowed to postpone a submatch.
If both clans can't decide about a new date, an admin or a supervisor will decide for you.
Postponed submatches need to be played within the same matchweek as the scheduled matches.
If both clans can't decide on a host, it will be a swedish, norwegian or danish host, otherwise an admin or supervisor will decide.
Playoffs matches are single elimination.
All other rules like creepskipping etc. will stay the same.

The first round of the Play-offs will start on monday 18 April.
All 8 matches need to be challanged and accepted BEFORE the 17th of april ( so you have 4 more day's )
If the matches Arent scheduled on sunday the 17th of april me or Daydreams will force the matches to a Date.

So far there are only 2 matches with proposed dates and there are still 6 matches wich havent been taken care of.

To Schedule your play off match simply go to Roster on your left click on the poule you were in and find your match.
In that line you will find a link to create a challenge.

It has been a few days now since a new version (5.84c) was released and so far it is the most playable one.
Therefore, ClanBase will change the standard version into 5.84c.
Other rules will stay the same.

Since the new battle.net patch a few hero's are bugged, which means their level 6 spell has no cooldown.
Hero's with that bug, for example Jugger, Vengeful and Luna should be repicked.
If you get a bugged hero after repicking, the match should be remade.
We are not aware of any other major bugs at this moment, if you do, please inform me.

As you might have noticed, we have checked out almost all clans at this point and after removing a lot, not many clans are left.
We have discussed the possibility of remaking all groups after some of you suggested this. Unfortunately this is impossible.
The cup was started one month ago at the same time as all the other ClanBase cups.
If we would remake the groups and start the cup all over again we wouldn't be done in time and very likely wouldn't be done before this season is over.
So until the Play Offs start, some Groups don't have many matches left and we apologize for that.

We have also noticed that a lot of matches, which should have been played in the past three weeks, haven't been played yet.
Therefore we have forced all matches, most dates are set this friday, saturday and sunday at 20.00cet.
Those clans who actually did challenge, will play on the date they have requested.
It is your own responsibility to make sure these matches will be played. If you can't play on this date, try to find your opponent to set a new date.
If you have a new date, if you have trouble finding your opponent or if you are here on the forced date and your opponent isn't, you can contact Daydreams or Xipzor^.
Any clan that doesn't show up or doesn't contact us, will be removed from this cup completely and won't be invited for the next season.

Please do remember the following things:
Not every clan uses IRC, you can only find them on Bnet.
Make sure you play with a simular nick on Bnet which is registered on the ClanBase site.
Mask of Madness, Refresher Orb and Creepskipping NOT allowed.
Version 5.84b will be played.
Save your replays in case of difficulties.

There are also matches scheduled for next week. You have to (counter)challenge your opponent before this sunday.
And again, if you have trouble using the ClanBase site, contact those with voice #clanbase.wc3.

Hi everyone,

After reading all of your questions and complaints and after a few internal discussions, we have decided that i should take over this cup again together with Xipzor^. We will try to make this cup work like it was supposed to be.
This means that we will force matches, update scores and keep you posted with the latest news.
Another thing is, that we will also try to contact those clans who didn't show up yet for a match and see it they are still interested.
If not, they will be removed from the cup, to make this cup playable for those clans who actually want to play.

Every week you have to challenge your opponent with a date your clan can play the next week and wait for the other clan to accept or give you a counter challenge. You can use the 'pending' button (top right) for that.
After that week the matches will be forced by us, which means all (counter)challenges will be 'accepted'.
My suggestion is that you should try to find your opponents for the next week first and settle a date before you challenge/accept a match.
A lot of people from the Dota scene are using IRC and most of them can be found #dotapickup.euro, #dota.no or #clanbase.wc3 or just click on the clan you have to play against and see what IRC channel they use.
If you have trouble using the ClanBase site, don't hesitate and contact one of the persons with voice #clanbase.wc3.

Entering scores is something we from ClanBase will do. If you have a score, pm Daydreams, Xipz0r^, the people with voice on IRC #clanbase.wc3 or email us and after our confirmation, the score will be updated as soon as possible (don't forget to save the replays in case of difficulties).

I have also experienced that some people don't know the exact rules for this cup, so here is a short version.
All matches are bo2, so a 1-1 final score is possible. (if both clans agree, the two games don't have to be played on the same day, but they have to be played before the playweek is over)
One scourge and one sentinel starting position.
Mask of madness and refresher orb are NOT allowed.
Creepskipping is NOT allowed. (if you enter your enemies base with the creeps, ALL buildings in their base are vulnerable)
No bugs are allowed to be used.

The rumor is that official version 6.00 will be released soon. ClanBase will use v5.84b untill further notification.

We have just forced the first week matches.
a Clan War that was challenged was forced to the challenged date and un-proposed matches were forced to Sunday 19:00 CET.
You can check your Clan War date by clicking on the Calendar button in the right top navigation menu.
The cup starts tomorrow, so make sure to check this page for updates.

P.S if you cannot play on the forced date and you and your opponent can together agree on a new date within the play week let both cl's send an email to me or NarKomaN and we will put it on that date

Many of the teams should have noticed that we sent out our admins to gather intelligence on who wants -ar or -ap in the cup to be able to somehow sort the groups.
The outcome of this was that about 10 clans already decided to drop out (better to know before the cup!) and only 10 wanted to go for -AP. So luckily for us the cup now has perfectly sized groups.

Division 1 is the huge AllRandom league. (8x8)
Division 2 will battle for the -AllPick crown. (2x6)

Once both winners have been found we will arrange a Bonusmatch of the -AR vs -AP Winners to find out who really is the king of the ring.
