We are happy to announce that we've banned Kirurgi from ClanBase today. His profile can be found here. He played in this cup for the clan Rhythm. If you have played versus this clan in the cup and you have screenshots of him playing in the match, let us know and send them to us. The match will be forfeited in your favour.

As we comfortably tuck our group season results underneath our pillows, the playoff round of the ET 6v6 OpenCup, in this, the fall of 2006, is upon us. Over 350 clans entered the OpenCup with the view of becoming the cream of their crop. Now, a rather short-listed group of just over 100 will battle in the OC's final stages.

Start your engines!
Tables to the right of the page will indicate the clans strong and/or lucky enough to make it into the playoffs. Opponents have been mixed and jumbled throughout the division to ensure division toppers climb the one man ladder to victory.

All playoff trees and rosters have now been created for all divisions allowing clan leaders and war arrangers to challenge their next opponents. ClanBase has set Wednesday 31st at 23:00 (CET) as the deadline to discuss and agree upon a date with your opponent. Matches can be played between January 29th and February 4th.

Challenge your opponent now by using your roster. Check your challenges using your pending page.

The OpenCup groupstage might not have the buff chest of the EuroCup or the NationsCup, but the nail biting finals enable clans (high, low and anything in between) to shine in all their glory. Best of luck to all remaining clans in the competition.

After finishing last group matchweek we will give clans one week more to play all wildcarded games. After that ET crew will announce playoff brackets for seven poules. This means that all teams have to wait a little bit more to play their matches. We will try do brackets as fast as possible to let clans prepare for most important part of OpenCup.

We would like also remind all clans that top two clans will progress to playoff stage.

After alot of questions about forfeits I will post it here also. All forfeits are stored as a 1-0 victory but in the end calculation they will count as a forfeit.

Keep in mind that after this week the first playoffweek normally starts so try to set your matches as soon as possible since the forcing of the matches will be held on Wednesday for the first week and after that again on Sunday or Monday.

Any questions concirning the Playoffs or anything else can be directed to either Lab or NightRaver by email or irc

For all the team that sadly leave us after the groupsphase we wish them the very best and hope to see that back for next season.
Also alot of good luck to all the clans that will proceed to the playoffs, you are only a few matches away from winning a division of the ClanBase OpenCup.

We are still missing a lot of results of OpenCup matches. If you don’t want to get you match to unscored/unplayed status you should send mail to both NightRaver and me including War ID, screenshots from both maps, league, group and of course missing score. We will not chase clans in their IRC channels or via e-mail. Please try to mail them. We’re getting requests on IRC to add scores. They get lost very easily on IRC. It's kinda busy during the evening, so please understand this.

Once a game is week old - a 0-0 result will be entered and will only be changed if asked so by e-mail. It is important to note that matches without scores at the end of the season may affect your chances of proceeding to the playoffs!

You can mail score to NightRaver and Lab.

Normally, your score should have been added within 24 hours. If not, your mail was probably not received for some reason, so please try again.

After one week of hot action the new Matchweek is about to start. Again a lot of clans miss there challenge and will make my work even harder to force all the matches. All matches without a date on Sunday evening will be forced by ClanBase to a date we think would suit both clans. There are a few things I try to look at when I force matches are:

After 3 exciting maps only one could win and it was EU, they showed to be a bit stronger on braundorf were they were victorious. Tho rsd! from tmasYlum was afk for one or two times that can have made the difference between winning and losing.

The allowed players list will be created automatically and it will include all the players in your clan, you don't need to add any player now.

This feature is reserved only for future recruitement during the cup. Remember the maximum of extra players any clan can add during the cup is 3. If you are wasting this precious slots to add your current members to your list, you will lose the chance to add a new one for the rest of the cup.

This is the moment we have all been waiting for. After hours and hours of preparing the groups and rosters, after spending alot off time adding them to ClanBase and after a 10 minute news item, I now formally declare the ET 6v6 OpenCup Fall 2006 officially started!!!

Both me and Lab welcome you to an exciting new season. Get your lugers from under the dust, fill your flamers with gasoline because this will be a hot season.

We’ve received a lot mails about groups and league switches. We really would like to sorry for not doing anything but this happened due to NightRaver unknown absence and my work at lan. To make everything clear and as good as we want we’re forced to delay first OpenCup matchweek. This means first matchweek will start at 4th December and not 27th November as we previously planned. In this week we will try to check all requests and make some clan switches to make groups better than now.

ClanBase is proud to announce the release of a new set of configs today.

The ET config has come a long way in the past three years and is upgraded and tweaked in every release. Our primary wish has been trying to get an arrangement with other leagues but due some reasons which I do not want to talk right now it was not possible this time. Meanwhile we will always continue developing the game to it's most competitive status and bringing the players a great platform for showing their skill and having the most fun posible. We also want to add we are open to any suggestions you could do to improve the config.

You can download the configs here: ClanBase Enemy Territory official config pack

Important Note:

This set of config are the official release from ClanBase Enemy Territory and must be used in all matches. All servers to be used for any match at ClanBase must be updated with this configs. All old configs are deprecated and must not be used anymore. Any match not using this config after November 13th will be cancelled.

Just 48 hours after they opened the ClanBase ET Fall OpenCup season signups have already passed the 150 team mark for 6v6, with more than 100 teams signed up for 3v3. The tight schedule for this season means that the signups won't see the one week extension to the registration period present in most previous seasons, so teams should sign up now to ensure themselves a place in the largest competition in Enemy Territory.

Despite the shortened schedule we are well on the way to surpassing the Spring 2006 season total of 350 signups for 6v6 (320 for 3v3) and we hope to provide the most fun OpenCup and EuroCup yet, with more coverage than ever before in ettv, shoutcasts, match reports, articles and interviews. These signups also include Europe’s best of the best like idle.ee (winners of EC XI, XIII and quakecon 2006), #Murso SFX (Nr1 in 5v5 ladder), Fear Factory (winners of OC Spring 2006), aMenti (Second place EC XIII) and many, many more, so it promises to be an amazing season.

There is still plenty of time to sign up and we are also counting on YOUR team to participate in the best cup ClanBase has to offer. The deadline for signups is the 19th November, and teams which sign up earlier will have priority when we create the groups, so be sure to get your team signed up as soon as you can.

Bear in mind that the start of a cup season is always a busy time for team registration, so if you need to create a new clan account to play, do it today!

Do you feel it itching now? Then either scratch you ass or sign up here .
