Well the cup is over now. Its been a good first season for the WarSow Open Cup. There were a few problems at the start regarding the scoring system in which a few players dropped out. This was fixed for the playoffs and apart from a few no-shows they went smoothly.

Mouldy: Thanks to MaCtox for taking over this cup after DRIV3R left for other jobs in ClanBase. I hope to see many of you back next season, because its gonna be great trust me!

So now, the winners are as follows.

Due to a mistake my college Mouldy made, some players couldn't challenge their matches. Now all matches which still have to be played are forced on the 25th (this sunday).

If you can't play that date, i strongly suggest you immediately contact your opponent and play as soon as possible cause the cup should have already finished.

If you both agree on a date, contact me and i'll adjust the challenge.

T-BON3 struggles through thick and thin to slip past ShapeShifta

BoBel advanced to the Premier division finals after a 3-mapper against the Lithuanian ZapaZ.

Here is the Semi-Finals roster. As you can see Germany is wel represented but we'll see what happens during these exciting semi-finals. I'm expecting some intense matches between some players.

Semifinals week is starting from tomorrow! All results have been added except for one.

Sadly DRIV3R has left this cup due to not having enough time. He has also left the Clanbase Warsow Crew due to having other responsibilities in Clanbase which will take up his time. I have recruited lots of new supervisors to help replace him. He will however be missed.

MaCtox will be helping me finish this cup off. You might remember his as being DotBe the old Warsow Game Supervisor before me.

We have successfully completed the groupstages so now we can continue with the playoff. On the right side of the menublock you can find the playoff tree. Please note that you have to challenge your opponent no later than 21 January. So the deadline is Sunday evening.

I would like to remind players that due to popular demand the playoffs will use bo3. You choose your own map to start, but should a tie result (1 - 1) after the maps of both players have been played, the 3rd map is chosen by the method of the highest fragger eliminating a map, then the other player eliminates one. And so on until they are left with 1 map (after 2 picks each) and that is the map that will be played.

The map choices must be presented in the warchannel's topic one hour before the start time. The maps in the challenge ARE NOT OFFICIAL

There is another poll on this cuppage now. We are trying to cater for the users and we would like your opinion on what cup you would like to see next season. We want this to be the most active season yet in wSw, but mainly we want to beat the Q4 people :). Get voting!!

We need to recruit an active Cup Supervisor. The primary responsibilities will be to ensure thier cup runs smoothly and to provide basic support for our users. In addition, the candidate is expected to act as the link between ClanBase and the community, so it is vital that the recruit communicates frequently with both parties.

General requirements:

Admin experience is needed
In-depth knowledge of the community & the game itself.
Must be available on IRC (quakenet) and must participate on forums.
Very active and willing to invest his/her time to help the community out.
Good knowledge of written English.
