The first semi-final opposed francis to FrostiC and the second opposed Midair to Sharkfin.

In the first semi-final, Francis and Frostic strated with a close round that francis won 7-5. Then Francis managed to win the second round and was the first qualified for the finals.

In the second semi-final, Midair and Sharkfin started with a very tight round on ice_v2. The score: 5-5. In the secdond map Midair changed gear and imposed a dry 14-6 to sharkfin.

So the two players qualified for the finals are Midair and francis, two players who know each other very well as they are both members of NinthGaming, the team who very recently won the Crysis Springcup 2008 5vs5.

The match promises to be intense!

The final is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2nd 20:00.

the winner of this match is then invited for the Match of the Titans, on Sunday, July 6th. A match for prestige sake between the winner of Second League: dYpPer and the winner of First League.

Have fun and good lucks to the players!!

The semifinals of the second League were played yesterday night.

The match was very tight. It opposed Mike and dYpPer.

If the result of the match : 2-0 for dYpPer, seems clear cut enough, in the facts, we had to wait for the last second to know who will join the final.

Indeed, dYpPer won the first map: 13-12 and the second map 10-9.

Congratulations to Mike who proved himself worthy of his place in the semi-finals. Because there were no other player in the semi-finals, Mike gets the third place of the Springcup 2008.

The first finalist was already known so it is Muzrub that dYpPer will fight in the great final.

Default date of the final is Sunday, June 29th. However we will leave the schedule open if both oponent agree to play it earlier. The match will not be played after June 29th.

After a full review from the Cheats and Abuse (C&A) department of ClanBase, it has been decided that there was no clear evidence that Frostic abused any bugs, therefore his ban has been revoked and will take part in the first league quarter final.

Guys, be careful about the way you play in this cup. I must remind you this part of the rules:

"It is not allowed to take advantage of or abuse bugs. Any kind of bug abuse is considered cheating and will lead to a forfeit loss."

For this reason, Frostic has been suspended from clanbase for a period of 3 months and have thus been given a forfeit loss to his match. The record of the match can be seen at this address:

http://demo21.ovh.com/fca79390632c278044f895f760ca2159P/

We will not accept this type of behaviour in the cup.

The first round of first division is almost over.

Last results:

Thursday 5 June 2008 23:00 Rawa beats SkUzZi 2-0.

First map was Ice_v2 . The match was tight and at the end of time, Rawa was leading 4-1.

On the second map, Steelmill, Rawa managed to take the lead again and won 7-1.

Saturday 7 June 2008 17:30 Sharkfin beats G4DJ3T 2-0.

On Ice_v2, Sharkfin managed to control his oponent. G4DJ3T was never able to reply and Sharkfin won the map 17-1.

After that, G4DJ3T was able to react, but not enough to prevent Sharkin winning the second map, Steelmill 9-1.

G4DJ3T was a bit late but Sharkfin waited for him and the match was played in a good and friendly atmosphere. Congrats to both players for their sportsmanship during this match.

Tonight

Two great matchs coming between players who know each other very well. There is tension in the air!!

20:00 monstro vs Frostic

21:00 Arrow vs shOzZ

It is now official, the playoffs are on their way!

First results:

21:30 Francis beats Kane 2-0.

They started with Ice_2 and the match was soon over with Francis winning with a very comfortable 18-02. After this, Kane decided to surrender and annouced he would not play the second map they had agreed on, that is to say Industrial_v2.

Congrats on Francis for his impressive victory! Francis is thus the first player qualified for the semi-finals.

22:00 ShOOks beats Wizarts (noshow).

Last update 23:00

Two players benefited from the 24 hours delay to rejoin the cup: monstro and KakashiGTS. Welcome back guys. Now the tree is complete, no further change will be made. The cup is on its way!!

Have fun guys and good luck to all!!

Update 20:00

Map list have been updated on the main page. For tonight matchs, because the timing is a little short, you are allowed to play other maps but only if both oponents agree. This should be decided on the irc match channel before the match.

Update 18:20

A second player meets the requirements. One last spot left in the tree!!

Update 11:30 a.m.

So far, only one player has answered that meets the criterias. Hurry up, don't miss your chance, there are 2 spots left in the tree!!

Update 10:00 a. m.

Guys, this offer only concerns the players that participated in the groups stage AND weren't kicked from the cup before the admin problems. I have recieved messages from players who weren't in the groups. These players can't join in the middle of the competition.

If you can join, you have recieved a pm from me (Didier)

Ok guys, I am your new co-sup. I have recieved messages from players who didn't have time to answer ooaemkee because they didn't see the news in time. I understand your query as indeed we should have sent you a pm to drag you back to the site.

So to be perfectly fair, we have decided to give these players one last chance.

There are three empty spots in the tree and I am willing to fill them with the three first players who will pm me before 23:00 tomorrow Thursday June 5th. But these three players should be ready to schedule their match right away.

I will add the players as son as I recieve their pm, so keep checking this page for more news!

The matchs that have already been scheduled will be played normally.

This time, you will all recieve a pm to make everything fair and even. Note that after these 24 hours, the tree will be in its definitive version, no modification whatsoever will be made.

Good luck!! We hope these playoffs will keep all their promises!!

It is almost time for the playoffs but there are still quite a lot of matches with missing results. Due to the limited amount of time left for this season, everyone has until Saturday May 31st, 22 CET to make sure your played matches have a result entered.

If you notice a match that does not have a result entered, you MUST mail the result at least to lauri.virkamaki@gmail.com EVEN if you've informed the supervisors of the result in the past. ANY match not having a result in by the deadline will be turned into a double forfeit.

Playoffs

As division 1 has a lot more players than division 2, it will have a somewhat stricter schedule. The playoff trees should be up by Sunday midnight and you should start challenging right away after that. Any unscheduled playoff matches in division 1 will be forced on Wednesday 4th June, 22 CET. Division 2 will have until the following Sunday to schedule their playoff matches.

More information

If you feel that something is unclear you may contact me by e-mail, ClanBase PM or IRC. My nick on Quakenet is ooaemkee and I can be found at least on the #clanbase channel. I will try to answer as best I can but if you want a guaranteed answer, use either e-mail or CB PM.
