Word from the supervisor

First of all, I would like to say great game to everyone who played and made efforts to rank as high as possible. What is also very important, even though it's just the Premier League that gets coverage, all divisions count and players in any division that ranked well should be proud of themselves.

I would like to thank a few people, in no particular order: Denk, who helped me with the more technical side of this cup even if he had a lot of business himself, CokeySmurf, who ensured that you are all kept up to date with the latest happenings, even though he himself supervised another cup, he still found time to help here, and last but not least, wingz, who always readily provided UTV for Premier League matches and thus gave this cup even more coverage, with the help of the coverage group Powerseed.

It has been another great season and I am glad I gave so many duellers a place where they could test their skills and perhaps make a name for themselves, I hope all of you enjoyed your matches and learned from them. Yours truly,

After much delay, the finals are upon us. As you probably know, it will be GoHLinK vs. RoxXx. The match will be played tonight, at 20:00 CET.

I asked both players how they feel about their match tonight.

Taskmaster:
What are your thoughts on tonight's match, your opponent and your overall shape?

GoHLinK:
I think its gonna be a nice match. RoxXx is a very good opponent and he is not to be underestimated. I'm not really worried about my shape as I think the fact that I'm playing other games doesn't really affect my game on 2k4, at least it doesn't make it weaker.

RoxXx:
First of all, he is one of the toughest players in this whole competition, it will be one hell of a match tonight. As GoHLinK usually goes for some spawn killing during the match I have to be prepared and show some serious shock skills. Over all I haven’t put much practice into this whole cup but let’s hope it was enough to win this OpenCup. Anyway it’s all about the fun and let’s keep on playing UT2004.
