The Final matches are here and are now set, can clans please start to challenge for the finals. The supervisors will have given you a few days to get those matches arranged if they are not arranged by 11th June at 23:00 CET we will have to force the matches. We have a very tight schedule so we will need to get these matches played ASAP, once your match is played please do send the scores to the e-mail account

These are the first week's playoff matches, don't forget to report the scores by e-mail after you have played your match, not later than 24hours after the match to CBOCsups [at] googlemail [dot] com

The matches of the second playoff week have been created. Teams will have time to schedule their matches till Tuesday 26th at 23h CET, otherwise they will be forced.

Remember you always have to send the results and the screenshots of your match to the Cup Supervisors within 24h even if a Referee/Writer enters the score for you, or it will be declared double no-show.

CBooky for the ET OpenCup 6on6 has been initiated!

After several intense matchweeks it's time we hit the playoffs for this seasons ET SW OpenCup Spring 2009! Unfortunately we saw some teams dropping out, which is a shame, but in the end the best remain in the cup of course. We've seen quite some surprises in the groupstage, so we're sure to see quite some in the playoffs as well. 3rd Match Week, 18th - 21st April

As you might have seen, there have already been quite a few noshows in the first matchweek.
Since we already had to convince the Chiefs of Cups to allow this cup (due to the amount of noshows and dropouts in the previous season(s) ), they have now come back on their decision, because of the already imminent amount of noshows.

The result of this is the following: the cup will be closed and there will probably never be an official default Opencup ever... If you want to read the statements of the Chiefs of Cups, look inside.

Rules and Reminders about Missing Scores PBGuids Wildcards Noshows

As of next week ClanBase will be using a different set of server configs for all of our matches in both ladders and cups. We are very happy to announce that we have come to an agreement with ESL and Crossfire about this and thus it will be a global config. We used to have a global config several seasons ago as well but some differences in opinion led to each league adopting their own set causing arguments in some teams to why everything was different between one cup compared to another league. This will now come to an end and we hope that the community can find themselves somewhat in these new settings.

Below you will be able to read about the changes between our old config set and the new global config set.

For 6on6 and 5on5

MG 42 has been disabled completely

2 new mapscripts added for the 1 on 1 maps

These configs can be used from now on and by the start of the next matchweek, Monday April the 6th, the old configs can not be used anymore. If any match is still played with the old config the result will be canceled and the match will have to be replayed.

Groups are published and the cup is ready to start.

The setup

We will have 232 clans competing into 6 different divisions. Each division has been made to suit the clans skill and self rating that they gave in the sign-ups.

• Division 1: 4 groups of 6 clans.
• Division 2: 8 groups of 6 clans.
• Divisions 3 to 6: 8 groups of 5 clans.

2 clans of each group will proceed to playoffs.

Challenge

Since right now you are able to challenge your opponents using the roster link.
Remember you can challenge your opponents till Saturday at midnight, after that your match will be forced by the supervisors.

Noshows/forfeits

A lot of clans have been rejected for making two noshows/forfeits last season. If your clan is listed but it is not going to participate due to any kind of reason? Please let us know, give the clans that are on the waiting list the opportunity to replace you and avoid your clan from not being selected to the next season!
Remember also reporting the scores on time, after 48h of the official match time, if the score is not reported by any of the teams (including screenshots), we will enter a double-forfeit loss.
The only valid method to report a score is sending a mail to the supervisors, the mail must include the score of the game, a link to the war and the maps screenshots.
