Tonight was THE NIGHT. The night that was meant to decide, who will carry on the golden trophy (and some cash) and who will have to bitterly settle down with silver (and smaller amount of cash). It was meant to be decided between powerhouse newcomer made of very experienced and full of achievements players formed as Sanctuary and reactivated, oldskool, well known clan power-boosted by other bery experienced and full of achievements clanhoppers under the flag of LimiT.
Before the game i made few quick interviews with as usual very random and unknown to me players :P. I started off with already former captain of CTF Team Poland and personal favourite of tonight's shoutcaster Eisregen - also a player of this seasons EC qualifier team that didnt make it. He is sith, he is "classic" donkey dork, he is d3rk :

Next i moved onto very unknown division 2 player, flamer of NED CTF team and their captains of last 2 seasons, apperently with some sith episode in his career - fdNijntje. Here is what he has told me :

So thats about it, now lets move onto the game.
Both clans showed up with servers. LT brought one .nl, while san proposed .dk and .de. After some really annoying testing (special thanks to both clans for getting on my nerves), both teams agreed on .de server, thanks to the Tactical Suicide clan.
So, as already stated above, some of my interview victims, guessed 3 of 4 maps right. san won the coin toss and so the map order became : Glacier followed by Ranel, then a switch to Orbital and 4th map was meant to be Revenge, but this game didnt even get that far. *sigh*.
Waylander joined the party to show You some live action on UTV, while my padawan-admin and successor Eisregen took over the mic to drop on some tunes in break between his freestyle about the game.
So everything is ready to go. Time for teams presentation and their sneaky tactics :

LimiT :

Pretty much all the game, san will control the belt, allowing LT to grab 2 shieldbelts alltogether, with first one after almost 10 minutes.
Both teams started with their defences being really focused about not letting go some fast cap in the very beginning. So the attackers had really hard task and scores showed it as both d1sc and L{o_O}Zz4^ points were more or less around 0 with effi about 12 %. d1sc even got into -1 score as after about 4 minutes, he took the flag, left by health vials, in the middle got surrounded by LT players. So he decided to jump to low. Left with about 30 hp spraying with minigun all over the place he dodged... to the space, with the flag and thats how his decent run ended :

2 minutes later, san again. d1sc (who managed to crawl out of negative score by now) grabbed the flag and was making his way by shock side. Before he left the base, he got like 2 comboes from 108, yet still survived. d1sc reached the mid and as he has hidden behind one of the boxes, griz struck him down. But covering Patsui was there to pick up the flag. Not for long thou and he died pretty much after a second and LT returned the flag. The run looked promising.
A minute later L{o_O}Zz4^ opens the score. Takes the flag and leaves by shock side, as usual with rocket launcher. There he meets his teammates and this 3 man cover has no other choice then deliver the Austrian safe to the flagspot. No chance for san players to slip in through this massive cover. 1:0 for LT :

For next minutes, both teams will fail to do anything significant, untill, L{o_O}Zz4^ strikes again with 6:30 left to go. He will grab the flag and choose on the low route. No one from san will know whats going with their flag apart from the shiny information in the low parts of their screens about the flag being held by opponent. This will remain untill L{o_O}Zz4^ who will get an assist of potruguese idol - griz - will get to home base to finish off the run with 2 hammer jumps. 2:0 :

The situation became really bad for san, but they kept fighting.
A minute later, san produces some good run. Patsui took the flag and even under some heavy fire, managed to leave the base, where finally zoeffo sniped him out. d1sc was there to pick up the flag. Just as he reaches the healthvials in the flag chamber, L{o_O}Zz4^ grabs the flag denying d1sc from capping. Now zoeffo and kenshin shows up and blasts the Scottsmen with rocket launcher. kenshin returns the flag from armor area. Soon L{o_O}Zz4^ dies as well. Till the end of the map, both teams wont be able to change the score and so LT takes 1-0 maplead, winning on opponent's map.

First one to entertain the public was d1sc. 2,5 minutes into the game, shieldbelted Scottsmen takes the flag and manages to reach the low mid entrance of home base, but there, he got struck by kenshin's rocket launcher. san was close to take over the flag, but kenshin was faster.
A minute later, L{o_O}Zz4^ strikes back to cap his 3rd of the game after some hardskin hax. Austrian took the flag. wallen covered his ass, killing one guy which apperently was enough, untill L{o_O}Zz4^ reaches home base low mid. As he gets on rocket launcher, kepa pops up and shoots perfect flak + 8 into L{o_O}Zz4^'s back. L{o_O}Zz4^ caps with 16 hp ¬_¬. 1:0 for LT :

Almost 3 minutes later, LT doubles the lead. L{o_O}Zz4^ manages to pass the shock and almost get to the mid with the flag. There, gets killed by d1sc, but griz who provided the cover, takes over the flag. The portuguese idol runs with the flag and as he is about to cap.... falls down. d1sc snipes him out of the score. wallen makes the finishing touch and its 2:0 :

Very good effort by LT, but 90 seconds later, san answers with even better one. kepa takes the flag and goes by shock. Dies as he reaches the middle. But his 2-man cover continued with the run. Patsui grabs the flag and jumps to low middle. As he is between armor and shock rifle at home, griz flakspam him well enough to kill him. Resurrected kepa picks up the flag once more, but he only managed to make few steps as he dropped dead on home rocket launcher. kenshin's sniper reached the goal. Yet 3 flagkills wasnt enough to make a return as finally d1sc picks up the flag, gets hit once, but survives and closes on the gap. 2:1 :

The joy didnt last for long for san. A minute later, L{o_O}Zz4^ makes it 3:1. Grabs the flag, goes through the health vials to the armor, steals san's armor. Being fresh and full packed goes through low mid, quickly reaches the base, performs hammer jump and scores :

Another 3 minutes and kepa does some really nice run once more. Takes the flag and with flak cannon, he will go by shock. Making 3 flak frags by himself, reaches the base after straight run to make it 3:2 with 8 minutes to go :

2 minutes later, its kepa once more, but this time supported by d1sc and Patsui. kepa took on belt this time, took the flag, went low by rocket, then to shock, reached the middle, from where he jumped to low and with cover and base sealed, kepa equalizes. 3:3 !

san was clearly on fire and a minute later they capped 3rd in the row on ranel, though with some luck this time. d1sc and kenshin took the flags. kenshin decided to take some rest in the respawn room by the flak cannon, where he has spent quite a while. Meanwhile d1sc wasnt into playing hide and seek and went by flak-high straight towards base. As he gets home, the flag is missing so we have a standoff. At the same time, both flagcarriers get located and destroyed as DiZo and griz obviously turned on their radar haxes. DiZo makes the return, while kepa snatches the flag, before griz can. There is pure chaos going on as pretty much everyone is around san's flagspot. L{o_O}Zz4^ kills kepa with the rockets, but now Patsui is able to grab the flag. Unlucky for him, wallen decides to drop a standcombo onto the flagspot where all the action was going on and so the Finnish [w]hiner dies. wallen also had the flag himself. So he killed Patsui just to die by himself off DiZo's combo. Our Scottsmen - Braveheart enters at climax and makes the touch. san takes the 4:3 lead :

Immediately after this, LT tries to hit back, as there isnt that much time left. L{o_O}Zz4^ makes a fast solo run, but as he is about to cap, Patsui steals the flag right ahead of him and seconds later, myster1ous aka eNigMa shocks the Austrian, flag lands on the flagspot and myster1ous aka eNigMa returns.
A minute later its all otherway around as kepa makes a solo run, but LT guys cause some chaos in the base. kepa tried to get behind the base, but L{o_O}Zz4^'s rockets where faster and low-on-health kepa had to die. L{o_O}Zz4^ returns.
After the 4th cap, Patsui started to play more defensively, spening much more time in home base, performing some assrunning as well.
With less than 2 minutes to go, L{o_O}Zz4^ will use 150 % of his hardskin protection power, which will totally piss of Patsui (and i can understand him on this one...). L{o_O}Zz4^ takes the flag, and leaves the base low middle. As he reaches the open mid area, he just gets boosted by at least 4 (possible 6)pack. Left with about 41 hp, proceeds, gets to home RL, gets hit by some flak spam and... caps. I didnt even write down how much helt he was left with, cause all my notes say about this one : 1:35 LZR 4:4 ROFL HARDSKIN !...

Draw was quite a good result for LT and not THAT bad for san, but there was still some time to go and san planned to use it wisely...
Last chance - 22 seconds to go, d1sc grabs the flag. Takes on high-flak route. We can see some Forrest Gump action as the time is being cruel and running away. 10 seconds to go and d1sc is closing on home shock rifle. Then, L{o_O}Zz4^ grabs the flag. 4 seconds to go, d1sc decides to hang out right at the spot, as its about to an end. Maybe some lucky return and he will be a hero. Unfortunatelly, no lucky return, but zoeffo's combo instead. At the same time, DiZo kills and returns the flag off L{o_O}Zz4^. So san's flag is where it should be, while LT flags drops right next to it. Where are other san players ???????? Cant really say, cause of all the excitement, but its ZOEFFO to reach the flag first and save ! No cap, no win for san and the game ends with a 4:4 tie.

Really some fantastic action by both sides on this one. Thats what we all wanted to see. Well played both, very unlucky san, deserved to win this one.

So 3rd map. san's choice. LT is 3-1 up in the score. If san loses, LT takes teh gold. If it's a draw, we play Revenge, same goes if san wins.
san didnt change anyone while LT switched portuguese idol griz for 108.

I expected some close game in here, but instead, we got served quite disappointing final of the final game. san was unable to held LT's pressure in here. They only started good, or at least it looked good untill...
d1sc waits for second home amplifier. Few seconds before it spawns, takes home armor. Now, being 100/100 and with amplifier on, rushes LT base entering by sniper. He "grabbed the boobs" © [SC]Eisregen on his way too. Patsui and kepa are in the base. d1sc grabs the flag. Soon, Patsui who was meant to provide cover, gets killed by wallen. Still, kepa remained with his mate. d1sc leaves the base high by minigun. Then, he jumps to low, but as he gets under fire, uses the boobs to bounce off and enter the base by bio rifle. Meanwhile, L{o_O}Zz4^ steals the flag and decides to go low. Wise choice it was. Without much problem, L{o_O}Zz4^ leaves the base, equipped with boobs too. As he gets chased by some san players, he jumps to the high mid, but then outmaneuvers translocating chasers as he jumps to low and enters by shock. There, he gets covered. Its a standoff. Now its wallen and kenshin to fight with d1sc's cover. Eventually, DiZo drops dead and now its up to kenshin as he gets onto d1sc ass. Shock rifle does the trick, kenshin returns and L{o_O}Zz4^ is free to cap. Very promising run that could have given 1:0 lead to san ended exactly opposite and its LT being 1:0 up on orbital :

After that, the match became REALLY boring, with Shoutcast being the most interesting part of it. Listening to Eisregen whining about Orbital was hillarious.
But anyway, 6 minutes after the score got opened, d1sc makes another quite good try, but this time, as he reaches his boobs are with less than 10 hp already, L{o_O}Zz4^ takes him down with a combo and returns.
2 minutes later, the fate of the final seems to be decided. L{o_O}Zz4^ takes the flag, leaves the base low, with the use of boobs, gets on belt area, but there are 2 san players and so zoeffo takes the shieldbelt before L{o_O}Zz4^ can. Flagcarrier jumps to low and enter the base low mid. Reaching the wall before the main entrance to the flagroom, awaits for base to be cleared. This takes about 10 seconds before L{o_O}Zz4^ gets official invitation on some hax teamspeak or whatever and caps for 2:0 :

san lacks energy and strenght for more of good runs and both teams remain with the same tactics. I think that at that point it was obvious for both teams who will win this and that the game will end on Orbital. I didnt believe that san can pull out to at least a draw. They didnt have the spark they had in previous game. Even myster1ous aka eNigMa didnt play that well throughout the game as he used to did in all the games before.
So, LT seals the victory 5 minutes later with a copy of the previous runs. L{o_O}Zz4^ with the flag, leaving low, jumping to the belt, going high and then jumping to the shock to enter the base low. L{o_O}Zz4^ enters the flag room and finishes the run crouching towards the flag and around it for few seconds, untill kepa shoots few missed sniper shots. L{o_O}Zz4^ makes the hattrick, 3:0 for LT :

I expected so much better show then it was in real. Not only me, but many that i have spoken to before it. Instead, we got only really great action on Ranel and quite letargic Glacier and Orbital. Sanctuary didnt play today what they are capable of really. Of course, they have faced mighty LimiT which also influences the game style, nevertheless, it wasnt THAT Sanctuary we all got to know in during this season.
Congratulations to LimiT for taking the gold with $250 after long season. You proved You were the best this time, You won fair and square.
Also congratulations to the runner up newcomer - Sanctuary. Everyone expect a lot from You before the season started, but how many would say You will fight for gold ? Silver this time and $150 to go out for a beer with.
Player of the match can be only one and it has to be L{o_O}Zz4^, who also deserves to be voted best attacker of EC XII. Here are the demos from his pov from this game :

Personally, after seeing so many games this season, i'd vote myster1ous aka eNigMa the best defender of EC XII, but many will disagree.
