After 4 months of intense 'Quake warring' the time is finally upon is. Sunday, 6 april, Team Sweden and The Netherlands will battle each other for the glamorous gold in the first ET:QW NC being held here on ClanBase.ETQW:TV and a shoutcast will be available and the links will be published soon. But let's take a look at how these 2 great teams managed to reach the prestigous Finals..
Team Sweden was placed in group B, a group consisting out of Team Italy,Team Norway and Team hungary. Unfortunally, Team Hungary had to drop out, leaving team B with only 3 nations. Basically that meant that Team Sweden only had to win 1 game to secure their playoff-spot.
Anyhow, first on their list was Team Italy (hi ZiP!). The Swedish lads took that match pretty easily home, 4-0. Team Norway also wasn't that much of a problem. The swedesh beat both countries with devestating 4-0 scores, securing their first place and their playoff-spot.
In the playoffs Mson his ladies were up against the Finnish polar bears. I tought this would possibly be Sweden's first obstacle, but I got proven wrong. Team Sweden took the match home, again with 4-0. Next on their list was Team UK. UK played very well on Sewer and nobody expected the English guys to take home sewer after setting a time around 19:30, but they managed to fullhold Sweden and the bomb exploded! But Sweden wasn't impressed and also took that game home...
The Netherlands will always be remembered by me because of 2 things: nice ladies and ET:QW! Sadly enough I can only speak about one of those 2 here :(.
The Netherlands started their cup against The Croatian Team (yoo gandza), but well, let's face it, they weren't really that much of a challenge for our Dutch guys and with only 1 match played, The Netherlands proved to be a Nation to look out for. Due to unforceen circumstances The Netherlands had to suffer from a noshow loss against Team Poland. So their objective was clear, win vs Team CZE and go into the playoffs as number 2. Poland won the group, The Netherlandswas placed second.
The Netherlands's first possible block on the road to the finals was Team Germany. That match literally was blown in Team Germany's face :). Well well well, who was up next? Right, our good old friends from Team Poland. J0hny dreamed of a ETQW:NC Final but sadly enough that turned out bad for him. Sorry mate! The Netherlands took it home with 4:0 numbers...
Can Team Sweden continue their winning streak? Or will they be beaten by the Dutch force of Lukos? To be continued...
