Smile! crumbles under the pressure of the Italians, who have been a great force throughout this tournament and show their talent in the third division. A report by Rampage follows!
First level: DM-DieselSmile Maps: Diesel & Flustered-LE
DC Maps: Deck & Defiance
Smile won the cointoss, so map order was Diesel, Deck, Flustered-LE, Defiance
DC Win the match with a 15 frags advantage but the whole match was tight.
Scores kept on changing and the noone could say who would have been the winner of this map till the very end. DC had a good control and with well organized rushes they took most of the belts and 50 armors. The game was decided only at the end with a good DD rush that allowed DC to take the advantage needed to take home the first map
DC
win by 122 to 107Second level: DM-Deck-FPS
DC Team really prepared Deck-FPS well, and the match was completely controlled by DC for the whole time.
Even if during the first minutes of the match scores were tight, DC suddenly changed the gameplay and the tactics,
causing a big disoriantation in the Smile lineup wich they paid with a 50 frags defeat.
DC
win by 125 to 69Third level: DM-Flustered-LE
Flustered was more like Diesel if we consider it by the score oscillation, but Smile looked a bit tired to keep their mind cold, and this for sure influenced their teamplay and communication. DC Played a good game with good communication for rushing the items and to keep the key zones of the map safe. Their tactics of splitting in 2 groups covering both the Rocket/minigun area and the 50/amp area looked more
efficient then the gameplay chosen by Smile, who decided to run around the map all together, basing their gameplay only un rushing.
DC
win by 126 to 109Conclusion
Ok, well the report is supposed to end here, but i want to say a big thanks to all the clan who took part in the cup, to the cup admins and supervisors, and i want to post a small consideration from my teammate Kim, who said something that i really want to share with you all.
"At the beginning of the cup our teamplay wasn't any good, the were a lot of things that needed to be fixed and improved, and there were lots of things to learn.
We became used to lose from almost many teams, even from lower divisions, and there was a moment during our training that we started saying "wtf why am i still playing this game, why don't we go play wow, we suck". But instead of dropping something we felt inside helped us to continue and improve; it was our friendship, our
respect and helping each other to improve as a team. Each member of our team was able to give his best to reach the objective that we all imposed to ourselves, and even if sometimes we felt like everything was flushing away from our hands, with the strength of our will and with patience we deservedly reached this important goal.
And today we are enjoying it."
GG and hope to see you all in the next cup season.

I loved this cup! Most of the teams I personally faced played sportingly, it has been a pleasure to play with them all.
Let's hope for the next cups to be more "active" (and I'm not refering only to the TDM one...).
We will be back!
