DangersuN`: First of all, thank you for making the time in having this interview with me. Most of us know you as the clanleader of Dead Men Walking . A rather "controversial clan", since they managed to get beaten by so many clans out there, but at the same time defeat some of the strongest. For example your clan was the only team to defeat pure gaming in the 4on4 TAM ladder, and thus stopping their record holding winning streak. How would you explain this?

 BioHazard: I think that this comes down to having dedicated members with the will to improve as a team. Most importantly our guys know how to have fun and play the game with this attitude!
As for the pure game... It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Phaniax came to me saying they were going to get forced into hibernation if they didn't play a ladder war soon. So he asked if we could play against them. I checked irc and many dMw'ers were about so we took them up on this offer.
The thing is with us as a team, other teams don't know who they will play as we have a range of different skills within dmw. So that gives us the suprise element.

 DangersuN`: I see, that explains the inconscistent results back in the days. Why did you decide to create an UT2K4 clan in the first place and how did you come up with the clanname?

 BioHazard: Splodge was the one with the idea of making a 2k4 clan, as we were both playing vCTF alot with an american team called The Dirty Dozen. Then when he came accross TAM we thought lets do this in europe as ping wise it wasn't so easy playing in usa servers. As for the name I have no ideas I guess this is something only splodge could answer.

 DangersuN`: Would you mind informing us a little bit about Splodge, as not many people might have heard of him and he is one of dMw's clanfounders / leaders.

 BioHazard: He does alot of work with the website and when he has time, he updates it as much as he can. I have known him for about 15 years or so. I used to play darts alot with his uncle and within time i got to know him and became best friends.
Then after a period of time he is now dating my sister. Splodge is a real life friend and he's 24years old.

 DangersuN`: You said you guys played vCTF on an american server. How did guys end up there? Why didn't you guys play on an European server?

 BioHazard: hehe well funny story... I was a complete noob to online gaming and other than an odd game off halflife, 2k4 was the 1st game I actually played and stuck to for online gaming. But I actually thought that higher ping was better, to later find out that it wasn't, hence switching to the European servers.

 DangersuN`: haha thats awsome, well if its any comfort, we all starded out as noobs once.

 BioHazard: hehe yeah. But when does one become un-noobed. as I seem to be stuck at that level.

 DangersuN`: As a proud member of this team, and an experienced online gamer for quit some years now, I have hardly met any clanmanager as good as you. I know you have spent a good amount of time in this clan. Were there moments when you thought 'fuck this clanshit' because of, for example the behaviour of other clans, or perhaps your own clanmembers.

 BioHazard: Thanks m8, but you can't be a good leader without good people in your team. I have had moments when i thought "choose life" and sod the gaming, but the community is what keeps me playing. I have had offers of taking over other teams as clan leader and never once thought about it. I wont say what teams and so on but im happy with where i am ;).

 DangersuN`: The community. That sounds like an interesting subject. Tell me: what are the good things about this community?

 BioHazard: Well on a whole you have the jokers who just make gaming fun. You have the whiners that make it even more fun (YOU HAVE TO LAUGH AT THEM) and you have the professionals that you like to knock down a peg or two. I can only speak for the channels that I idle in irc and the servers I play in, but there are some really fun characters that I enjoy talking to.

 DangersuN`: Now what are some of the things you think spoil the community, except for cheaters.

 BioHazard: hmm this is a hard one, but flaming people because of where they come from really annoys me. Although I know we all say germinize but thats just in a joking way or it is with me at least. nothing against germans before i get some major flaming!

 DangersuN`: If theres one thing you could change about this community, what would it be?

 BioHazard: BAN cheaters more often. I know myself that there are accusations about possible cheaters all the time and ACT does their best to get through them all asap. But perhaps the community could help out some by giving members of ACT access to their public server logs. To help speed up the process. I have recently joined the ACT team and I would love the server admins to come to me and provide me with access to just their log files!

 DangersuN`: How does one apply for ACT?

 BioHazard: I wouldnt know how to apply as I was asked if I would be interested in joining. So maybe someone from ACT will comment on this in the comments.

 DangersuN`: Recently a new version of Wormbo's AntiTCC was released, I think it came as a surprise to many of us. Did you expect this and do you know if any cheaters have been caught already with this new tool?

 BioHazard: Im sure this will and has caught some cheaters, but as you know all people caught are listed in the ban section within CB. I can't really comment on much more than that.

 DangersuN`: If one of your long term clanmembers would get caught cheating, and you have spent a great amount of time with him on ts on getting knowing him better as a person. Would you show no mercy and ban him from your clan, and would you still respect him as a person?

 BioHazard: This is a tough question as I know every member of dMw don't cheat, but if this was to happen I would remove him/her from the clan instantly. But this would not make me think any less of him/her as a person as anyone can make mistakes.

 DangersuN`: Ok enough about the scum of the community.

We all know before TAM, the community was divided in

• Normal Weapons players
• Instagib players
• Players who played both

With wich group did you start off with, and how did you evolve in it?

 BioHazard: I have always been kind of a normal weapons player as I came from vCTF... Only problem was when I played TAM I thought F*** wheres the tanks! So it took me a little longer to learn how to use them than say a nwCTF player or even gibbers!

 DangersuN`: Many NW players share the opinion that TAM is a considerably less skill demanding gametype compared to TDM, what are your thoughts on this?

 BioHazard: HEHE ooooh you dropped a bomb for a flame war here! LOL

 DangersuN`: haha :p. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I think most members of this community are mature enough to respect your views on the subject without causing a flame war.

 BioHazard: Well I do think TDM does require more skills than TAM for simple reasons such as timing and avoiding the enemies after re-spawning. but I think on a personal note before everyone goes nuts! TAM will seperate the men from the boys as you both have same hp, shield and weapons. So this imo, is playing on an even level...

 DangersuN`: What do you think frustrates/bores so many TDM players when they are playing TAM?

 BioHazard: I think the main frustraition is that they die by players they have never heard of. See TDM is a small community as most shifted to TAM for a long period (even though its making a comeback due to the hosted cups) so they will be used to playing the same guys alot and they dont take much notice of the TAM players who are improving, so its quite a shock to find that alot of TAM players know how to shoot an lg or shock rifle and hit with good accuracy.

 DangersuN`: Interesting, could you tell me the difference between TDM spam and TAM spam? I have met quit a few players who complain about spam in TAM, but never complain about it in a TDM game. Are you one of these people?

 BioHazard: I am not but I can tell the difference in playing styles of both TDM'ers and TAM'ers TDM players seem to be more aggressive with alot more movement. Where as in TAM players are less aggressive and prefer more hitscan weapons to the spammy weapons. along comes the Flamers!

 DangersuN`: haha, people should respect your opinion, so screw the flamers!!

What does it take to become skillfull in TAM?

 BioHazard: Are you talking within a team say 4v4, as some people can be brilliant 1v1 / 2v2 players but suck in 4v4's.

 DangersuN`: Lets take 2vs2 since we are doing this interview for the 2on2 TAM hosted cup.

 BioHazard: Well to make a good 2v2 player. He/she is as always good at communication and never moves to far away from your team mate as they will get raped. also sound makes a huge difference, so I would say to anyone who would be wanting to improve their own game to get a better sound card rather than an aimbot ;) or radar rather.

 DangersuN`: new mouse instead of aimbot perhaps.

 BioHazard: well I know some really good players that use awful mouses... like microsoft standard ones and play just as well as the ones with their pro gaming mouses soo i dont know really I guess its down to personal preference to what tools you use ;)

 DangersuN`: So you think its NOT important to have an aimbot like hitscan, when you are just as amazing with close combat weapons like rox, flak, link?

 BioHazard: Its always good to master flak (something I haven't) as you dont always get to fight at distance and we all know that a well placed flak can take an enemy out in one.3 shots ;) but on the rockets im not a huge fan of these, based on what I said earlier... anyone with a good sound card can hear people charging rox up from half the map away. So imo flak is more effective.

 DangersuN`: but imagine you would suck at lg,shock and just can't hit anything with hitscan weapons, but your flak and rox and link skills are off the charts.

Would you become successfull at tam?

 BioHazard: I think if you adapted your game to this kind of play then sure, for example on rankin anyone who cant hit an lg will camp around the mini area and wait the enemy out. So then they are playing to their own strengths. and every map as areas like this, so sure i dont see why not.

 DangersuN`: What do you think is necessary to become skillfull at TDM?

 BioHazard: this is soo simple anyone should be able to do it. The key to a good TDM'er is Timing along with commanding the weapon spawns. i mean, if you do this, what chance does your enemy have winning if you are loaded with hp/shield and have all weapons.

 DangersuN`: So basicly your saying you dont need exceptional weapon skills, only a basic aim and timing?

 BioHazard: yes i think anyone who can hit around 15% could become a useful member of a tdm team based on the facts he could be doing the timing of say the 100 shield perfect, even if he dies the rest of his team can perhaps take down the other team as they wont be loaded up with hp and shield.

 DangersuN`: Interesting. Overall, do you think its valid to compare TDM and TAM? Consider this for example: "comparing TDM with TAM is like comparing apples with peaches".

 BioHazard: I still think that comparing both is silly as in most cases a high skilled TDM'er would say win a DM game over a high skilled AM player, and vice versa.

 DangersuN`: Lets talk a little about the 2on2 TAM Hosted Cup. dMw has 3 teams participating, could you tell us a little about each team like name, players, division.

 BioHazard:
dMw1: The players that will play in this team is Myself, Yourself and Paddos. The selecting of this team was purely down to us being long serving dMw members. With the progression or skills I think we are ready to try our luck in the top division although I do think it will be hard to pick up some wins as every team in the premier division can be unbeatable on their day

dMw2: Thresher came to me wanting to play and as we had three people in dMw. I thought we should enter dMw2. This is where Thresher was spamming in private channel to find a mate and Cr3ma came forward and wanted to play. I think atm they are only a team of 2 but on dMw2 teamsheet we have every member on it. so if needed at any point they always have backup.

dMw3: This was Kabooms idea as he wanted to play in this cup. So along with Sparx these 2 will be the core of dMw3."

 DangersuN`: Your team is participating in premier division group A conscisting of HFD, ifear, immortal, pure and cov. Wich of these clans do you fear the most and why?

 BioHazard: This is an easy question, you see the name PURE and makes you think oh shit. This is no disrespect to the others, but pure have been so dominant for so long. Learning that such as Gohlink and Echo will be playing in the pure team in our group, only makes me think this will be the hardest game.

 DangersuN`: Do you believe your team will be able to come out as winner in this group or atleast the playoffs?

 BioHazard: hehe I do think we have a chance, especially if I leave to paddy and yourself. As you two guys can take down the top guys much better than myself ;)

 DangersuN`: what is the biggest strength of your team that will be able to beat those other clans?

 BioHazard: Well communication is always good within the three of us imo. A good mix between between hitscan and spam should go well with us ;) you being the spammer you bitch!

 DangersuN`: Does your team have a specific tactic or do you guys just see how it goes and improvise?

 BioHazard: We just see how it goes to start with, If its not going well then we shall adapt to overcome the enemy. If we can't do it with aim its fine, Paddos the germanizer will release the minigun on them :D

 DangersuN`: What are your least favourite, and most favourite maps of this cup.

 BioHazard: HAHA I would never ever answer this question, just simply coz if a miracle should happen and we do make the playoffs. Info like this could go against us!

 DangersuN`: you can also use it to your advantage saying I LOVE AKBAL SO HORNY or FUCK GRENDEL I SUCK AT HITSCAN

 BioHazard: but I do love akbal

 DangersuN`: If we look at group B, we can see pure pumpt, deluge, inhuman, advanced, and immortal. What are your predictions on this group.

 BioHazard: I think this group we have three teams that will battle it out for two places to proceed to the playoffs. These being pumpt,deluge & advanced. Im a little scared to go up against any of these teams. On a side note "FU ROXXX & NMD". If I have to choose though between the 3 teams I would say pumpt and deluge will progress with deluge topping the group!

 DangersuN`: Overall, who do you think will win the premier league division.

 BioHazard: I really think deluge has what it takes to win this cup. As even if the first two cant make it they just bring in another two with equal skills.

 DangersuN`: what about dMw team 1 you fuc*ing piece of shit.
