This cup is now underway with the first set of matches to be played this week.
The
Rules have been updated so please read it carefully to avoid any issues in the future. I have outlined inside this topic a couple of important details you will need to know to make sure this cup runs smoothly for you and your team.
The Allowed Players List has now been generated so make sure your members are listed there before you begin your match (remember that if you add a new member to your clan page, you must also add them to the
Allowed Players List from this cup page too. There are some restrictions when adding new players which can be seen in the
Rules.
A player may only play for one team (they may be on the roster for more than one team but the first team they play for is the team they are bound to). Also,
make sure your latest CoD:UO PB GUID and UAC ID (as UAC must be used) is listed on your cb profile pages. Incorrect GUID's, when noticed will be liable for punishment.
If you wish not to use a cup server or there isn't one available,
make sure you have the updated PAM UO installed on your server (the correct mode is "pam_mode cb"). Teams must also stream their server to Game-Violations and run the latest cup cvarlist. This must all be done prior the match during server testing phase so teams cannot complain afterwards.
EDIT: The PAM download has been updated and changed as of 16.04.12 so use that version instead. Also remember the new command is /rcon pam_mode cb.
Teams are advised to stay on top of their schedule and create/respond to challenges asap before the match is scheduled to be played. Matches will begin to be forced early on in the match week so don't leave it too late, otherwise you may have to play on a time and day that doesn't suit you. Teams will only be given one wildcard during the group phase only (make sure you state it on
forums before match time if you want to use your wildcard!). You can check out you
pending matches here. With that said, you should have challenged your opponents for this matchweek, if not scheduled your match already. I sent a PM earlier on in the week reminding everyone to start arranging your matches asap so there can be no excuses for not doing so. Matches will start getting forced from either today or tomorrow onwards.
This season, we have decided to remove all clans that noshow in their first game only (rather than 2 games) if there has been no attempt by the clan to schedule the match either. This is to avoid other teams potentially wasting their time in future games since most teams that don't bother making an effort in their first game will most likely fail to turn up in future games too.
Once a match is scheduled, it is important you remember to join the correct irc channel 30-60 minutes before the match. You can find which channel you need to be at by visiting the
Roster page (there is also a webchat link there incase any of you can't get
mIRC to work). This will be the main form of communication with your opponent prior to the match where you should discuss and test which servers should be used.
And finally,
when a match is played (or not in the case of a noshow), teams must post their results on the forums right away. Please use the
following template when posting the score. Two things I need to point out is that you must include screenshots and in the case of a noshow, a screenshot showing CLEARLY that your opponent is not on irc (or is unresponsive) with a timestamp (google clock, pc clock etc). Without these, your result may not be accepted. Also, if you have any other issues about the match i.e requesting demos, you should also do this using the forums.
Make sure you are prepared and there should be no problems!
Good luck to all the teams!
