After 4 months and 23 days since the announcement of this cup, it has finally come to this: the Grand Final of the MoH:AA NationsCup XV! Tonight, beween France and The Netherlands!

What most people predicted before the cup even started, has become reality: we get to see a Final between France and The Netherlands! In the previous NationsCup, these two got to play the final aswell, although it ended in a disappointing noshow to France. There are two things we can learn from this: first of all, the previous NationsCup was played in 2010. That means that in those two years since that noshow, both the frogs and windmills have remained the best two nations of MoH:AA.
Secondly, we can hope that both nations' pride will force them to actually show up this time. The supervisors and community have not put this much effort in this NationsCup to see another noshow Final.
Perhaps it might be best to mention two important details: this Final is played on all three maps (The Hunt, V2 Rocket Facility and The Bridge) and should The Netherlands defeat France, a second Final will be played, of which the winner will be the nation that gets to go away from keyboard with the Golden Trophy.

Let's have a closer look at both nations' performance and team, starting off with France. When we were still looking for captains for our Hosted NationsCup, no captain applied for France. I had to look for one myself, because - let's face it - a MoH:AA NationsCup would be a joke if France did not participate.
I then found NefreT, the player who had lead France to its first award in a MoH:AA NationsCup, way back in 2007.
That Bronze trophy was won with a line-up that consisted mainly of Dark ELF team players. During this NationsCup, France have used a total of only 7 different players, from two clans: n0name and The Knights. One might say that France had the easy road during this cup. They narrowly finished as the second of Group B and only had to play three play-off matches (against The United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Poland) to get to this Grand Final! That is less than The Netherlands, but we'll get to that soon enough. Here's a summary of France's MoH:AA NC performances:
|
 | Gold | x 1 | | Silver | x 0 | | Bronze | x 1 | | 4th | 4th place | x 0 | | Total: | 2 |

Don't worry Dutchies, it's your turn now! Things went a lot different in the search of a captain for The Netherlands. Three or four serious candidates applied and out of those we picked bassie due to his activity and experience as captain in previous seasons. Unlike his counterpart NefreT, he managed to lead his nation to the Gold in NationsCup IX!
If anything is remarkable about The Netherlands' performance in this NationsCup, it's the amount of players they have used. In 9 NC matches, they used 11 players: bassie, brouwR-, Crack3^, IceD, JOHNN1E, ko3ki3m0nst3r, MoffenMoller, Prozac, graphY, guidetti and conami.
I'm not sure, but I do think that his is a record! Anyway, all of these players can be reduced to three clans: move Quickly, bubbles and fragnatic.
The Netherlands have played 9 matches in this NationsCup, while France played one less. After suffering a defeat against the frogs, the Dutchies had to play the Lower Bracket. They eliminated Portugal, United Kingdom and Poland on their way to the Grand Final. It's hard to argue that they have not earned their place in this final. Anyway, here's a summary of The Netherlands' achievements in MoH:AA NationsCups:
|
 | Gold | x 2 | | Silver | x 2 | | Bronze | x 1 | | 4th | 4th place | x 1 | | Total: | 6 |
Those are the facts. France have already defeated The Netherlands once in these play-offs. Will we see a repetition of that match or will the dutchies have their revenge? Normally we will host a livebot of the Final, so you don't have to miss a second of this match! Please join #nations.livebot to watch the stream and #nations.chat to comment.
