LoL EU West 5on5 OC Spring 2012

The basics!
by: ClanBase
We do want to run this ClanBase League of Legends OpenCup season as smooth as possible. As there are many clans who are new to ClanBase, here are some basics. However, as soon as we up to date, we suggest you to read the Cup rules carefully!

Clans and Players
  • Each clans Allowed Players List gets added automatically on the start of the first matchweek.
  • If you want to add a player after APL's got added, read here for instructions.
  • Players always have to be easily identifiable to cup admins and opponents. Therefore, players must use nicks which are the same as (or very closely resemble) those registered on their APL.
  • A clan can use players during a match who are shown on their Allowed Players List and have not played in the same cup for another clan.

Roster and Scheduling
  • A predefined roster determines which match must be played in which week. Group matches are to be played in the week specified in the Roster. The exact match date and time must be arranged by the clans before the Sunday that precedes the match week.
  • During the match week, any scheduled match, be it scheduled by the clans themselves or by the supervisor, can only be rescheduled if both clans agree on a new date/time in the same match week. Both have to inform the supervisor of this by email at least 1 day before the original date of the match. Rescheduling on the day of the match will require a wildcard being used.

IRC related
  • Your ClanBase IRC match channel is shown on your clans 'Match schedule'.
  • Meeting on IRC before the match: Meeting time = 30 minutes before starting time. Deadline time = 15 minutes before starting time. Starting time = the scheduled starting time of the match.
  • At least 1 representative from the clan must be present in the match channel 30 minutes before the start.
  • In case of a conflict or disagreement, consult a supervisor or a cup admin on #clanbase.LoL.
  • Keep logs of everything that is said on IRC!

How do I challenge another clan?
  • You can only challenge another clan if you are the leader of your clan or if your clanleader has assigned you as trustee or as war-arranger.
  • If you are clanleader, trustee or arranger you can challenge another clan from your clans menu block below the cup menu. It is named 'Match schedule' and it directly links you to your Roster page, without clicking on your clans group. Clicking on Challenge shows an option to set date and time and to suggest a server ip.

What happens after I challenge a clan?
  • The match will show up on your clans 'Match schedule' and on Pending page under Outgoing challenges. While a challenge has not yet been accepted, you can change the properties of the match, f.e. the date by clicking on the edit button at your pending page.
  • The clan you challenged will see the challenge on their 'Match schedule' as well as on their Pending page: Incoming challenges. They can choose to accept challenge or counter-challenge to another date. Let's assume they accept the challenge and that the match is played sometime later.
  • Clanmembers can specify their availability for a match on the Agenda page.
  • As you have seen by now, the Pending page is an important page to check for match-arrangers.

Why is our match forced?
  • After 22h CET on Sunday the supervisor will force any matches not scheduled by the clans themselves without further consulting them.
  • If only one of the two clans proposed a match date, then the supervisors will always force the date that suits that clan.
  • If neither clan proposed a match date the supervisors will schedule the match as he sees fit.

What is a wildcard?
  • Each clan is given 1 wildcard, which it can use to cancel and reschedule a planned group match, for whatever reason. Clans are strongly advised to cherish their wildcard until they really need it because of bad luck (e.g. connection problems). Using the wildcard lightly and then losing a later match because of real problems would be a painful way to be eliminated from the cup.
  • The wildcard can be used up until the match start time as shown on the Roster.
  • When a wildcard is used, the clans have to reschedule the match immediately to one of the days into the same or the following matchweek of the original match date, and inform the supervisor. If no agreement is communicated to the supervisor within 48 hours of the original match time, he may force the match to be played as he sees fit.
  • Wildcards can not be used for playoff matches. A playoff match can only be postponed by decision of the supervisor.

What happens after a match?
  • The matchresults can be entered by a Referee/Writer if the screenshots have been sent to him. You always have to send in the results and screenshots to the supervisors even if a Referee/Writer enters the score for you!
  • Demos can be uploaded to ClanBase. Read here for instructions.
