Hello,
we're here to clarify some rules about APLs today; so far the was a conflict in the war between re and oD which is very important for playoffs stuff.
The problem is basically "When a player is allowed to play?". Rules are not so clear on that part, some of them ovverides and/or say the opposite of other rules, so after some talks and investigation on previous similar case this is the answer and, we hope, a clarification about it.
In this
chapter you can find the part of rules we're goinh to clarify, let's examine the most important points:
- A clan can use players during a match who are shown on their Allowed Players List and have not played in the same cup for another clan. Using a player who is on your APL, but is not allowed to play (f.e they played for another clan in the same week) will result in a Red Card and match forfeit.
- All other players can only play after they're added to the Allowed Player List having fulfilled the criteria in the table below.
- A player must be on the Allowed Playerlist (APL) before being allowed to play a match. That means, a player must be added to your clan roster as well as to the APL before the official starting time, the scheduled start time of the match shown on the wid page. If a player plays who isn't on the APL the clan will receive a Red card and a forfeit loss. When a player would have been allowed to be added to the APL (thus would have no problem going through the new member procedure) the clan will only get a Yellow card and the match result will not be changed.
The first 2 points make clear statement, you can play for a clan ONLY if you're on their roster and in their APL; if you broke one of them you get a forfeit loss and a red card.
The third point go deeper inside it and clearly say that a player must be added to the apl, and obviusly to the roster, before match time otherwise you will receive a forfeit loss and a red card but... It makes and exception that reduce the penalty to a yellow card if he would have been allowed to be added to the APL.
FAQ
Q. Can i play with a player be added to the APL after he played a war?
A. Yes, if he can go through the criteria showed in the table on rules page.
Q. What happens if he was able to play?
A. You get a yellow card and the result won't change.
Q. What happens if he wasn't able to play?
A. You get a red card and the result will change in a forfeit loss.
These informations are valid for the current season of all UT2004's cups. Those rules will be probably updated next season to avoid this sort of freelance.
Going back to re vs oD match and also GD vs sB (iTDM match) results won't change, re and GD will get a yellow card.

While I agree that it's your own fault if you don't have enough ppl at matchtime, I have to say it's pretty lame aswell to grab a forfeit when you are still discussing on IRC at the time the 5th arrives. CB crew tries to stick as much as possible to the rules, sometimes it may favor clan A, sometimes clan B, but i can't let you tell we (CB crew) are behind one person or another.
And about your 2011 story, don't expect your oppo to be nice if you come that late.
If you get your 5th only at 21.22 while the irc meeting was 20.00, the server tests should have started at 20.30, try to understand them, they prolly got a life and other things to do than waiting hours for opponents.

@ Springcup 2011: We had our last game vs =IC= they were not going well in the cup.
Ofc kIrI, nina, Deaod , 2 others were playing.
None of you understood why I actually got mad at them, @ the match start bZm / Glasya / DarkAsiat / me / D-Mich were here ( I think ) to play but D-Mich couldn't be added on the APL becuz we already added 3 people. =IC= got to choose what we could do and they just choosed to win the game ( WITHOUT PLAYING THE GAME! )

Cruezz arrived at 21.22, we were still discussing at 21.22.
He was on our apl, so he jumped in for D-Mich and they kept saying they want a forfeit win. They got it.
The entire community could blame me for flaming & insulting & raging. But the actual one who should get a postman / playban wasn't me but those people.
They start flamewars for no reasons, if someone does it to them they start crying to sups to ban those people.
They only look for an excuse to take a free win, so you don't even get to fkn play them.
I don't have any problems with nina or kIrI or anyone else..
But still it's really lame that ClanBase Crew. UT2004 is always behind them when they need something. |

You wont get a forfeit for playing with a player who should have been allowed to play in the end if they just added him to the APL (a few clicks).
What you ask would look like asking for a penalty or a red card when the opponent throws the ball in touchline. |

as far as i know it is allowed to add a player who played div1 last season in div2...every player can drop 1 div per season if i remember correctly...
and besides how can we oD rulefuck the last years?? how?? we didnt won anything, we got always placed in div1 in which we had absolute no chance...so where is the rulefuck??? show me??
if i enter a cup, i look after my players and oD players besides soulja and kittie which has been added new, are always the same...we are playing this mod for a long time now together...and we never broke the rules like that, or even broke them...its just unfair for those clans who are playing be the rules, waiting like idiots on the server for the 5th to come and then your opponent decides to add a random div1 player after matchtime just to get 5...if u dont have enough players then i suggest u should have thought it when u entering a cup...

When a team signs up, the supervisors check their lineup and place them in a division. If they are for instance in division 2, they CANNOT add a player to the APL that was playing in division 1 last season.
But re is division 1, so they can add ANYONE that didn't play for a week. Because the division 1 winner should be able to beat anyone.
So normally, you can't add anyone. Division 2 clans couldn't add Ommie (implying he played div1 last season). If they did, it WOULD be a red card instead of a yellow. Get it?
There are plenty of rules left to fuck clans with, don't worry Tomek

Too bad there aren't real teams anymore... most of them just recruiting players from here and there. Skilled players always joining the strongest clan around just to win +1 cup even if they were their arch enemy before. Most of the times everybody can tell whos gonna win the gold even before the cup has started. Some years ago all these APL bullshit wasn't even needed, we knew whos playing where...
And about this re vs oD match... It shouldn't be allowed to add an extra player to roster after the cup have been started anyway... but to add a random player minutes before/after matchtime should be forbidden, redefined should have been ask oD about this at least... with their agreement all this flame could have been avoidable. |

Like I said you dont care about playing you only care about this shit on clanbase. When I told you I accidentaly accepted and asked for a reshed your reaction was "use your wildcard". When you knew we didnt have enough on wednesday you talked to ripper (who isnt even trustee in our clan by the way) about an itdm match and slipped some ictf-talk in which he was clueless about and sended the logs to the sups. And when we actually managed to field 5 players you try to rulefuck us.

first of all we didnt rulefuck the matchdate...u challenged us for a wednesday and we accepted...whats rulefucking about that??? u went crying to the admins and they deleted the challenge cause they believed your whine that u missclicked...
2nd challenge as u saw in the logs ripper screwed it up for u, so once again no rulefucking by our site...
and 3rd adding a player after matchtime is just a joke...i dont care if the POWERFULL EXCEPTION exists...atleast now this exception hopefully will be deleted next saison...
and your comment about u playing with dam/rici and stuff...thats so useless dude...cause we never said we would have had a chance vs u...so stupid comment...its about playing by the rules...and for me adding a player after matchtime even with that exception is NOT PLAYING BY THE RULES... |
