So DmK will win the final by no-show aswell, great

And @ Decl;

Noone says CB should adjust it's schedules to suit anyone wanting to watch a big sportsevent, or anything else. But the way the groupstage was handled (mainly in group A) with all the postponing, and rescheduling being allowed to drag on and on, it's does come across as a little 'unfair' to suddenly become very strict now that the cup is nearing its ending.

None of this would have happened, if the same strictness would have been used during the groupstage and quarter finals. Dj's last game before this was almost a month ago..

Anyway, just a shame that even idom now seems to have come to an ending where matches get noshowed and forfeited.

We were allowing rescheduling keeping in mind the regular schedule. It was assumed that all matches would be played 'anyway' by the end of the wildcard week. And we are only 1 week late, so it was pretty much achieved. The reason the final week is this week and not the last week (which would've been even worse with all the finals of Euro 2012) is that me and Apoc were not around to force one of the DmK's matches in time.

Otherwise the very final week would be Jun 25 to Jul 1. The week with 3 most important football matches. That's if we stuck to the schedule. We would not be able to have it finished earlier in any way, even if we (the supervisors) "did everything correctly".

So once again, let's not blame the system. Priorities are to blame.

Even if there is Euro going on same time, ClanBase is not going to be bouncing around tournaments that are not directly related to gaming. For ClanBase, football Euro Cup is no different to Tennis world cup, F1, the Olympics or whatever else.

The cup is already running late. We were always forcing matches in time (apart from 1 exception when me and Apoc were both unavailable) and due to that the entire thing got pushed forward.

2 days should be totally enough to make arrangements for the matches. If the players cannot be reached, it's once again solely the problem of the clan or the clan leader. And even after the match is forced/accepted, it's _still_ possible to change the date if both clans agreed. Have DmK and Dj talked even once about the possible match day? Have you had _any_ communication with each other? It didn't seem like. Who is to blame? Certainly not the system.

Thanks.

I am not going to blame dmk, as they would most likely beat us anyway and probably want summer vacation in this late cup.

I am not going to blame superevisors either, as without you there would've been no cup at all.

I do need to point out that I find it strange to push the dates so hard for the playoffs. There was enough waiting time before the playoffs and you could have pushed those games harder instead. After all aint the playoffs a higher priority than groupgames (that even forfeited)?

When I saw the dates for semifinal it was possible to schedule for 3 days. Normally it is 7 days. For the final you give clans 2 days.

The war got forced Tuesday and since dmk did not answer the challenge, it means the only other possible days was after force.

Wednesday = Euro semi
Thursday = Euro semi
Friday = Weekend
Saturday = Weekend
Sunday = Euro final

Date now? Summer = Vacations

I think this sums up my idea about how hard it is to get players available for this.

In the end I will still blame myself as I was and am away working for 3 weeks, bu somehow it doesn't get to me anymore.

Even iDOM is dead in cups.

GG, it was fun.

I was ready to give 2 additional days to play the game (Monday or Tuesday), but DmK weren't up for it and that's their full right. The challenge was made by Dj, and since DmK didn't respond to the challenge, this date was chosen (which I also found odd)...

Challenge was made by Dj? lol... was no way whatsoever that I would skip a EC final to play a game, so I suppose email thought we would have enough?

No reschedule possibilities either I suppose, not surprised at that.

Good luck in final DmK

Very sad. DmK win by a noshow.

Considering that the challenge was made by Dj and DmK had enough, then this is especially hard for me to understand.

Grand and Bronze Finals can now be scheduled.
