Important Rules

This is a short summary of the most important rules that covers roster handling, map pick procedures, scheduling matches and reporting scores. All clan-leaders and trustees should know the information below by heart. I would also advise all players that are going to participate in this cup to familiarize themselves with the rules. Further information about each section can be found in rules.

Map pick procedures
The procedure to pick the maps is drop/drop pick/pick. The cointoss loser removes first and also picks first. If a tie-breaker is needed, the clan with the most frags decides who starts dropping maps. In cases where both clans have equal amount of frags, one player from each team will pummel over the right to decide which team starts eliminating maps. The teams eliminate one map each turn until there is only one map left, which will be used as the tie-breaker.

GUIDs
All players must have their Quake Live guid linked to their CB account. If a team is caught fielding a player that does not have his guid linked, then it will be a red card unless the team can prove without a doubt that the player is in their squad. Last season there were several yellow and red cards handed out in the clanbase QL cups for lack of roster and guid management. It takes very little effort to get this correct and it will save you from getting forfeit wins against your team.

Adding players
There is no limit to the number of players in a national team, and players can be added to and removed from the team at any time during the season. However, when adding national players, make sure to follow the Nationality and Residence Requirements.

Scheduling matches
Make sure that you schedule your matches until 22:00CET every Sunday before each match week, otherwise the supervisors will force the matches. In cases where only one team makes an attempt to schedule, the supervisor will force the match to a proposed date and time. If neither team makes an attempt to schedule, the supervisors will force the match to an arbitrary date and time. See section 17 of the rules for more information.

Reporting scores
If no admin is present for your game, you are obligated to report the scores yourself. Scores must be reported in Cup forum by winning team (and no later then 48 hours from scheduled match time) in following format:

Subject: Clan A/Player A vs Clan B/Player B, league, group
Text:
- result (i.e. Clan A wins, 2-1)
- link to the war on CB
- QL Matchlinks

If your opponent didn't show up, screenshot of the empty IRC match channel is needed besides request for a no-show (no-show can be requested only 10 mins after the scheduled match time).
