i think one of the reasons is the fact that the staff dont know how well the others SA teams play so, pitting them all against a team they know very well (like brazil) they can evaluate better groups @ next nations... |

About that discussion about the ping i think that:
1 - I think that the argument used by stao is plausible... i think that is best FOR NOW to think about the schedule... (it will be funny to play against Australia around 12 am on the saturday haahah)
2 - But Sirmimer used is also plausible, some nations will have easy matches and others dont...but he said something really magic " I dont care about the ping " that is the spirit men... i wish there were more european players, specially a captain with the same thought...
But, whatever, nothing will change, so forget what i said!!!

Still, here's the thought behind it:
is it better to have 2 more euro teams in playoffs, but forcing 18 one others to play vs 300+ pingers at insane times, or to have 2 others unknown SA teams in playoffs, hence forcing only 3 euro teams to play vs 300+ pingers (at max, as hey could still face usa/canada in playoffs) ?
I did pick the "no ping and no schedule issue" option, some could have taken the other one, still, it was a choice to do. |

This is urt, you have to make it even groups.. Cause if you dont make even groups you will have noob teams in play offs, while decent teams will be stuck with the best teams in groups = really boring play offs (not the case here, groups are okay, but i still dislike the idea spilting the groups off in world parts.. I mean you are most likely gonna play with high ping at some point, thats a part of it, if u dont like it dont sign up. |

i dont think they thought about the equality of the teams, i think they made it like in the championsleague sirmimer... you cant create groups with the mind of: lets make them as equal as we can... would be more like a good competition but you see no where creating groups like that... |
