Welcome

This coming weekend is the EuroCup XV LAN Finals, therefore we have brought you a special edition of the ClanBase Newsletter. Below you will find details of the coverage in this year's EC LAN finals, along with a tribute to a much loved crew member, a very interesting interview regarding ET:QW, and a competition that you just can't refuse.

ClanBase EuroCup XV

On the 8th and 9th of September the long awaited EuroCup LAN Finals are going to be played at the prestigious WZZRD Gaming Centre in Enschede. With the finals of the Call of Duty 2, CounterStrike 1.6, and WarCraft 3 tournaments taking place, the competition is looking to be a thrilling experience.

ClanBase EuroCup Page is LIVE

On Thursday 23 August, Killerman announced the coverage website for this season's EuroCup. Already there has been a lot of coverage reaching the site, with previews of all the events taking place (which you can find on the left hand side of this page).

If you won't be able to be at the LAN finals in person, we will bring the LAN finals to your computer. With regular updates of the event, match previews, in game shoutcasts and live broadcasts of the game, along with interviews from the players and much much more, you will not even realise you aren't there.

Stay tuned to the EuroCup XV LAN page to make sure you don't miss any of the action.

Team GX

To add to this we are proud to announce that the grand finals of the Team GX competition are going to be held at the event. With two girls team's competing in two different games, Call of Duty 2 and CounterStrike: Source, they will try their hardest to crown themselves, Team GX.

Paul "Locki" Wedgwood Interviewed

With the arrival of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars coming soon, ClanBase have managed to get an exclusive interview with the MD and owner of SplashDamage, Paul "Locki" Wedgwood. Not only was he interviewed, but he also announced a competition to win two signed copies of ET:QW. You can check out the full interview on our front page as well as take part in the competition to try and get your hands on one of the Signed Copies of ET:QW!

Ladder Improvements

There have been a number of ladder improvements over the summer which have made the challenging process a lot easier. We have combined the 3 challenging pages into one, and have made it easier to challenge when you have multiple profiles.

Finding out what GUID you need to enter when you join a ladder, and how to find and enter that GUID. Each game has their own FAQ designed for that game to make it very clear how you need to get your GUID in.

Adding a user to your clan is now a lot easier as well with the option to not only add via PID but also via email. If you want them to be able to join on their own, your clanleader can set a password that you need to enter if you want to join. And finally there is an option for people to request to join your clan. All of these features have made adding people to your clan that much easier.

That concludes this month's ClanBase newsletter. Stay tuned for more news especially the upcoming new Fall 2007 season. We at ClanBase want to tribute this newsletter to Tigy. Thanks to him this current newsletter layout exists. Rest in peace Tigy.
