I never checked on patch 2.11. Everybody have to play in 2.15 with cg_smoothclients 1.

1. Extract patch to your MOHAA base folder
2. Start sh_dm4patch.exe. If you've got the right moh_spearhead.exe, it will create a new moh_spearhead_dm4.exe
3. Play with moh_spearhead_dm4.exe, start demo recording with "record" console command.
4. Stop recording with "stoprecord". The demo will be saved as *.dm3, but cannot be read by spearhead because of bad code.
5. Extract convert to mainta\demos folder. Start sh_dm4convert.exe to convert all present .dm3 files to .dm4 files, which will be readable by moh_spearhead_dm4.exe and can be played with "playdemo" command

ps : dont use uac with the record function in folder, it can be considered like cheat. I have to send it to Admin uac first before playing with. |

The demo work only if im recording in cg_smoothclients 0. if im recording more than 10 min in cg_smoothclients 1, I cant read the demo.
It work only in 2.15 default ( cg_smoothclients 0 and cg_smoothclientstime 300 ). cant recording more than 5-10 min in cg_smoothclients 1 and cg_smoothclientstime 100. |

Reply | about the demo's: seems like it doesn't work in all cases but it's a start. things (smoothclient 1 etc) needs to be fixed though. Another problem is that there are no players on CB atm so there is also no demo crew (atleast 10+ reliable players) to handle 'demo conflicts'.
about the screenshots: thought this 'fix' was widely known but i guess i'm wrong here.
i looked at the internal forums and the AA crew discussed this. if they will change the rules then we will do this as well. i read that there is a problem with F12 (making ss) that crashes the game. dunno if this is also the case in SH? |

This summer you wanted put forfeit win for black screenshots, but we all said no because we didnt wanted playing in small screen like you told us.. but only one pixel deleted it's fine, so I'm okey to change the rules about black screenshots, and we dont need this authorization from moh:aa.

1 question though: whats the point in making+sending demo's if ur not allowed to use it in conflicts? it might proof to urself who is a cheater but then again....dont we already know (or did we knew) who is dodgy and who isn't. |

I've been cheated several times but I've never cheated in any official war (despite what people think), and I won't do it cuz there's no credit to win by using illegal programs... games are made to be played the way they were created, it's just pathetic to beat people and be proud of yourself whereas you cheat. I'm not saying I never used cheats in my life cuz I've done it on some stupid freeze-tag servers with noobs, but god, how can you take fun while killing people that you know where they are or without aiming at them by using your own mouse...? |

Reply | I've changed my resolution like you said and it seems to work. Streaming to own3d.tv works aswell now, so I can broadcast some matches in the future.
However, my game's graphics are kinda shit after this resolution change. Walls looks like they're painted with waterpaint. Any ideas on how to fix this?
(I tried making a screenshot for you to see what I'm talking about, but on the screenshot everything looks ok) |
