Reply | When I started playing FPS-games (around 2000) competitive (cb, esl etc...) I started off with bf1942.
From there it has been other bf games and lately Cod4 and COD BO. Sure there have always been cheaters as long as there have been games.
But lately cheating has become so advanced that it's hard to spot and not to mention very time consuming to do all the work to actually catch one.
The other day we played a clan in CB open cup (cod bo S&d) with players that used "toggle aimbot for wall hack purpose".
Basically what I mean with this is that the player can activate and deactivate the aimbot to see in what direction the enemy is.
This is as I mentioned above very hard to detect. But with cod bo comes theatre, this allows you to really go down to detail in every sequence and kill.
Anyhow me and my cl started to record clips from theatre, review demos, write down timestamps etc..
I can easily say that this took us 8-12hours divided on us 2. And all this for one (1!) player.
Now I ask myself, was it and is it worth it? Do I really want to put hours on looking at records and making sure that the war just played was clean?
To be honest It’s (at least for me) a damn hard question to answer. I love playing FPS-games and what I love most is the competitive part. But will I continue loving it if I as player need to spend all this energy on crap like this. I really just want to enjoy the game and have a clean war.
I don't really have the answer nor the actions that should be taken and from whom.
But I do think though that if this continues, more people will start to use cheats, and the competitive playing for honest players will die.
Below is a link to one of the recordings we made. In the last killcam he clearly makes a mistake and reveals the aimbot for sure. This though was probably the only time it was really easy to see.

Reply | | btw Dioabolik, i had a break on 2-3 months after roccat cup cuz my old pc was unplayable, i had 20-50 fps and sometimes 10 fps in close combats and i bought a new good pc 1 month ago and u know how fucking easy its to play now? i was one of the best players in cod1 aswell so su lowbob get skills pls or come to dreamhack in summer and i will teach u how to play |

Funny that these "Pro" cheaters really think that nobody notice are they cheating or not... heh in the game there are parts of timing, luck and ofc good playing. But even if you are really good player there are things that even the best can't beat The Luck and The Timing
So when the player shoots always into head or kills with few bullets all the time or he is always in the right place on time... He really thinks that others thinks that he is "pro" heh LOL
Because there are The Luck and The Timing and Other shit, it's not possible win all the time or be the best. Yes we notice that baboon cheaters heh...
Yea I know the pain of watching the demos and trying to catch those sorry ass Heh these days I don't really give a shit about "Pro" players or bother to always make a conflict. But yes sometimes when I see really easy and clear proof I make report and conflict...
Sad that VAC, UAC and ESL Wire can't do the job...
Thats why us "The GooD Fellows" that like to play clean and hard fights, have to pick opponents more closely. Yes I know that in oc you can't do that :/
There should be like "GooD Fellows" ladders u know Where the judgment would be much more harder and given faster. Example if opponent pick a fight, use names, no UAC ss, don't obey rules and so on... They get ban right away and no coming back to ladder... Also if got from cheating all the match turn into forfeit loose and so on... Also better and older Active admins... So when the Clan join the ladder they accept the rules and thats it if they fucked up... The most important thing would the identification, all the players should identify using example Facebook.

PS. UAC is good because ss and ESL is good because you can see opponents config ss + config would be nice things to get... |

I dont think alot of those kiddies will be able to play under that pressure.. BUT the dream continued and became even more dark.. there was SOOO MUCH blood and dicks lieying fckin'everywhere.. screaming kiddies running all around.. but anyway.. it gave me a very calm feeling.. the feeling of a.. lets say.. first LSD trip.. the feeling of something that is once in a lifetime.. the feeling that there is nothing else that actually matters.. only the passion for this BOX. |

Reply | TBH I think you can make a vid of every single person who plays here on CB that will show he is cheating using the criteria used in the youtube vid above...
Promo even uploaded his IN EYES DEMO which tells a completely different story then you guys are doing here... I mean come on everybody has a good day once in a while.
I bet if you make a montage of your own vids you will see you sometimes also have 'cheat'like moves that may seem odd, but since (I believe) your not stupid and have some 'gamesense' you also sometimes know where your enemy will be coming from (or atleast which corner has the highest probability...).
TBH I do agree there are a lot of cheater/hacker etc. But there are also so many peeps that make there cfg so that they have the advantage and thats is completely accepted and isn't considered cheating/hacking whatsoever even though you can see around corner better, grass is no longer there etc. And what the hell is a toggle wallhack???! Pressing a button will turn it on and of? SO THAT SHOULD BE VISABLE IN A IN EYES DEMO! In other words... A in eyes demo will very easily show if someone is cheating, if it takes you 8 to 12 hours you where simply looking for suspicious actions, which could be simply luck/ gamesense or even a good soundcard with a nice headset... heck it can even be a good call by a fellow teamplayer on TS/Vent/Skype...
In conclusion:
Everybody has these kind of shots (with the acception of a lot of the wall of shame hackers...)
8 - 12 hours of searching and checking for cheats means you where looking for it *and will allways find it even though its not there... |

Reply | It didn't take 8 hours to detect the cheat. It took this time to watch the demo and theatre, record and make timestamps etc...
If you can't see it in this either your blind, ignorant or a cheater yourself.
PS: You can also see it in the in eyes demo. But I doubt that you've even watched it? |

Looked to me like he was just having a good day with a little luck. Even you must have those days, make a demo or youtube movie of that and it will look like cheating to (which you don't I believe since your so furious about cheaters?)...
And if you don't want criticism on your posts when you are accusing someone of cheating (which is pretty harse I believe seeing the evidence you have...) Then don't post it. And calling me blind, ignorant or a cheater is simply to easy. I have nothing against you, nothing against fair gaming and a lot against cheaters, but I simply don't think you can call anyone a cheater based on the short youtube movie you have made... Again it could so easily be a lucky/good day. |

Reply | Once you know what you are looking for you will see.
Toggling aimbot for wallhack purpose it pressing your aimbot key once in a while so ur aim moves automatically a little bit.. u dont need to hold the key.. only press it really short to know what direction u need to go. Promo made some mistakes by holding the aimbot key too long pressed. So it was easier to spot.
The in eye demo will also show this.. but its harder to notice becouse you cannot fly around to see where he aimed through walls. |

there is no hacking in the vid u made. players sometimes look at walls when they hear something and wanna locate the sound exactely....
the last shot isn't abnormal for players with high sense and i think in this case it was just some nervous move. i also bet this was the only "strange" shot of him in this match
u are a noob... play another game pls, cod is maybe to brained for u.

also i bet ur mate wasn't crouching all the way....

Reply | | Got to agree with michel here guys theres no cheating at all in the video and i know promo hes a good player he doesnt cheat for the rest i cant judge but i do know the vid is clean and promo is clean. |
