Me and some mates just started playing CoD1 again after a long break. As we think we think its a pity what happened to CoD. In our opinion its one of (when not the best) shooter weve all ever played, and i think many people share this opinion.
So i wonder, why are so less people playing CoD1? and why is CoD2 still running so well although many gamers i know say CoD1 was far better?
The main reason is for sure, that war searching in CoD1 is an extremily time-taking and annoying work. i dont know how you are searching for pcws or cb matches, but for me personally i have to go an every server and ask for matches. sometimes with success.. far oftener without.
I think if we reopen a good warsearch channel on irc, (as it was #cod.wars back then), and if we advertise for it a bit, we can bring many players back to classic cod, and rise up the number of matches each day, pcws as well as cb matches.
I know this might sound some kind of pathetic, but other games managed it to "stay alive" for far longer time, so why shouldnt the good old call of duty take that step too? i am happy about any answers, suggestions etc... excuse spelling mistakes

Reply | Yes you're right. The original channel was "#cod.wars". But some polish hackers overtook the channel and banned everybody so we had to reopen another channel.
Try to get a lot of people in it. |
