We didn't stop. There is over 100 game servers running the patch. We've been through 3 RC releases, a lot of game hosting companies offer 1.12 server version as a single button click.
You can check the forum activity, we have a big community active even during summer, a lot of projects going on. CB always seems to be totally late with all the new stuff, we knew and worked with MOHAAC devs before it was cool over here.. A lot of new mods that you see on servers nowadays are based on Reborn, and couldn't exist without it.
You probably don't even know that most of the servers you guys are playing on, are Reborn powered ones.
u can type patchver in console to see if you got it on your server or not
but basically some things over that patch were annoying , especially with anti wallhack on you wouldn't see people when you lean on a corner makes them invisible pretty much
also , they had a problem with recoil going way high dunno for some reason

i joined the ango public server few weeks back and immediately found it had the reborn patch running it. not because i checked the raw server info, but because players were popping in and out of sight all the time, and V2 was virtually unplayable. you might tweak the mightsee/cansee parameters all you want but it won't account for leaning. how are you guys working around that?
any long term prospects? I used to play in SNake's team (dev for moh reloaded), too bad they didnt hand over all the work they did on to people lilke you lot. I think before they ditched the whole project they were actualy really close to finishing it and he dissapeared all of a sudden. I'm talking about 7-8 years ago, time sure does fly
Well, I must admit I'm not a frequent visitor of CB forums. Anyway, you're right that antiwh would need major improvements. Since we never released this feature as a stable one, you shouldn't complain. We didn't advice people to run it all the time, but to test.
We're investigating other server-side possibilities for cheat-detection. Currently, we work on delivering client-side patch, and community solutions for the game.
Even if antiwh doesn't work as expected, I think that the patch is a great success overall and we're not even done yet!
