The ClanBase MoH Crew cares deeply about the input of our users, so what better way is there to prove this by adding a new map, made by one of our own users, to all of our Objective ladders!

The new map is called Salmonella and was designed by b[!]ertje. You can download the map here, along with the other custom maps who were added to the ladder in 2012. The map has been added to the MOHAAC safe list, so you can put it in your main folder without fear!

We are continuously trying to improve our ladders which lead us to yet another Global Ladder Rules update. Global rules apply to every ladder on ClanBase and you can find them at the end of each ladder's rulebook page. Not knowing these new rules isn't an excuse for not following them. Without further a due, lets dig in.

In the last couple of months ClanBase has faced a certain amount of issues in regard to our server set up and especially surrounding our demo server.

As you noticed you are and have not been able to upload demo’s to the ClanBase ftp demo server for a while. The good news is that we are testing our new set up at this time and will be live for BETA at this very moment. You might have noticed that we were struggling with the amount of conflicts in certain games. ClanBase daily receives a lot of demo related conflicts in all kind of games and working with third party websites made us struggle with the amount of conflicts to be solved.

From now on, each clan and player can upload their demo’s to our brand new demo server. This set-up will be BETA and when problems occur please contact your ladder/cup supervisor. They can make an exception to upload your demo to a third party website. All other demo related conflicts or free flight demo’s should be uploaded to the ClanBase filesystem.

We have unfortunately lost a large number of demo’s in this time, and even though we have tried to recuperate and salvage the demo’s our efforts have been in vain. Many of the demos are back from 2009 and 2010. However this also influenced a lot of demo's from the end of 2011 which had demo related conflicts. Even with third party file hosting, many of these sites do not offer extended time hosting of files, which means that demo related conflicts are not being able to be solved due to the fact that files are no longer available to us.

In order to resolve all outstanding demo related conflicts we have made a big but necessary decision, based on the fact that we are missing so many demos. We have, after careful deliberation and discussion, decided that we will close ALL demo related conflicts created before the 1st of November 2012 with a cancel match if the demo was not available (anymore) in the conflict. This means that the war “was not played” and you or your clan will not lose any points. This does also means that we can not take action against any infringements from the match.

We will also implement a grace period, in regard to demo related conflicts for the previous month (November 1st). So if you have a demo related conflict, where the demo is not available to us, but you can still provide it, we will handle the conflict (please add the demo to your conflict via the conflict page before December 8th 2012). All other demo related conflicts prior to November 1st 2012, will be cancelled as mentioned before. Adding your demo to those conflicts won’t get your conflict handled.

Should anyone provide us with non-related demo’s we will due to the workload at hand have to punish them according to our rules.

We would like to take this opportunity and apologize for the caused inconvenience during the last couple of months, as well as the aggravation this decision surely will cause among many players. We are improving our services day by day. If you have other related questions, please feel free to contact our Helpdesk.

We have made a small change to all MoH:AA ladders' rules:

OLD RULE
The match will begin with a massbash (all players involved), or a 1on1 bash. The winning team decides which map & side to start with. In rifle/sniper only ladders rifle/sniper must be used.

NEW RULE
The match will begin with a massbash (all players involved), or a 1on1 bash. The winning team decides which map & side to start with. This process has to be repeated on any following maps if one of both clans requests this.

This is a very obvious change, since this was already being done for nearly a decade, but as it would seem, it wasn't covered in our ladder rules yet.

MoH:AA Crew has decided to introduce new anti-cheat - MOHAAC - to all our ladders and cups in Fall 2012 season. UAC3 will still remain in ladders as fourth option of matchrules. Please read this newsitem carefully to see what have changed. Remember that all clans are expected to know all the rules; not knowing them is no valid excuse for not following them.

We have finally managed to add 4 custom maps to the Objective (default/realism) ladders. These are St. Renan, VS-UK Abbey, Letzte Tage and Church Final.

You can download all four of these here.

It's important that you have the right Church Final version as the one we will be using is the one without the annoying lightening and thunder! Also, keep in mind that there's a very big chance that a few of these maps will make it into the OC maplists.

The maps also come with a new rule:

Once a match has been accepted and you notice your opponent selected a custom map, you have the right to request a match cancel that is to be accepted by your opponent. However, as soon as the match starts, neither clan may complain that their opponent selected a custom map.

Due to the increasing activity, we are in need of motivated demo watchers! However, we do not accept people randomly; we have some requirements:

- You need to be able to write and speak correct English.
- You need a decent knowledge of the MoH:AA community
- You must be available on IRC (quakenet) and must participate on forums
- You must be very active and willing to spend your time on helping the community out without any reward/gain.

Do not even try to apply with messages as "I'm interested" or "add me". Please write a motivated letter to hybris@clanbase.com.

Do not forget to add the following information:

- Name and nickname
- Link to your ClanBase profile
- A way to invite you for a conversation (MSN, Xfire, Skype, etc...)

We look forward to your application!

We would like to announce a Hosted Nations Cup. As we all remember last official Nations Cup wasn`t a success, that`s why we decided not to do a Nations Cup last season.

Now, we would like to check if mohaa community is ready to have an official Nations Cup by running a Hosted one. If u are interested in participating in this cup, from now on u can send a captain application via pm ()or mail ().

In case we will have at least 6 decent applications (from different nations) within 1 week, we will make a cup page and give one more week to apply.

Due to the increasing amount of forfeits in cups because of the rules concerning FPS 1, we have decided to act! We contacted our friends at xNULL and they created a new MOHAA.exe for us, one that retains the ability to record demos, but also gives us a clean FPS again (example).

So because of this new .exe we have edited the 'fps rule':

OLD RULE
You need to play with the following command: FPS 0. Using FPS 1 while playing will result in a forfeit loss.

NEW RULE
It is allowed to play with the setting 'FPS 1', but only your FPS may be visible (as this mohaa.exe will do for you). Any player caught using the 'FPS 1' setting with the wt, wv and other numbers still showing, will cause his clan to forfeit the match.

So basically you are now allowed to play with FPS 1 once again, as long as you do it with this new MOHAA.exe!
