It would require 16x1000mbit/s NIC's, no PC have so many PCI slots, and even if they had, the PCI bus couldn’t handled so much traffic and if the PCI bus could handle so much data, then the HDD would be the bottleneck (the fastest HDD on the marked today, can "only" write 50-60 Megabytes/sec)

So if you should download 2GB/s then you would have too have:

16x1000 mbit/sec NIC's (or more)
PCI bus on steroids
40x15000rpm HDD in a raid (or more)

So do I believe you, no I think NOT!
