By some woodoo miracle, Bohemia Interactive the creators of Arma2 reached out and lifted up the DayZ mod to be an official product. The current developer, Dean Hall, will not be left behind, in fact he will be the project lead while Bohemia Interactive takes care of the publishing.

The plans are to mimic the Minecraft development model, meaning rapid updates to test versions.

The new game comes with a new site which you can find at dayzgame.com while the mod will remain on dayzmod.com. Confusing, I know.
