After not playing in CB leagues for a while, we are now going to play with 3 teams in the upcoming CB Q3TDM 2on2 Cup, for the Spring 2005 season. Naas & PaNJak are playing as LKFF RiGHT & ReLaxed are playing as LKFF2 Maddog & Azer are playing as x4 I'm not sure who are the backup's of which teams, but hey... that's not really interesting anyway, is it?  | |

For now we have decided to quit playing Quake3:Arena CTF. After our recent EuroCup adventure, we have managed to be part of the highest possible level of gaming for Quake3 CTF. We have played div1 in Jolt/Barrysworld and also played our matches in the Kuh3liga Premiership League for CTF. CTF is not much fun anymore. "All-def chase-noobs" is the best term for describing how most of the clans out there play the mod at the moment. It's comparable to how Schroett Kommando played Q3TDM at some point a few years ago. Very annoying, very standy/campy and no fun anymore. Almost all players have stopped playing Q3CTF, only Spaas (with Trespuntos/3P) and PaNJak (with RaWR) are going to continue playing. We do go on playing Q3TDM, but also not very actively anymore. Next stop: World of Warcraft as a Guild. So, for now LKFF.ctf is inactive. | |

Today, 5 years ago, 4PLaY and me decided to register =[LKFF]= on ClanBase and make a real clan out of LKFF. It took till after December 1999 before we finally played our first game versus the old clan Hellrailers, a 4v4 TDM game. I don't dare to put up the score here (). Well, that's it then. 5 years. Wow. LKFF yesterday played it's 400th official game on ClanBase. We've been arround for 3 years now and have played our 400 official matches in Quake3 TDM, CTF, FT (FreezeTag) and Urban Terror. We have several new members: The first on the list is Audax, he will be playing Freezetag with us. The second is ZEN, who came over from L@W. ZEN is here to help us with our TDM-team. The third on the list of new members is Jtm, he is also here to play TDM for us. Like RapTile, he is an ex-NW. Aside from the 3 new guys, we also have two ppl leaving LKFF. Technoid & Molybdane have both decided to quit Quake3 altogether. Molyb was one of our senior members, with us from the early LKFF-days. Goodbye guys, hope to see you again in the feature. It's been a while since the last post was made about member-roster changes within LKFF. So it's time to post an update :) Since last wednesday (the 24th) we have been able to welcome =[LKFF]=RapTile aboard :). He's been in clan HK previously and has been inactive for a while but his girlfriend wants him to start quaking again............. :P Allready quite some time ago, but just totally forgot to post about it, NaaS joined LKFF. He's been bugging us for well over half a year. He's one of those players we know from the days that LKFF was an FFA-only clan.Back then he wasn't very good yet, but when we finally gave him a chance to prove himself....well.. we made him =[LKFF]=NaaS quite fast :) And then the best for the last...... :) sQ is dead.. we all know that... that's not something to become happy about, but what does make me happy is that mister Azzmodan had agreed on joining LKFF. We were looking for new members badly, especially for CTF. With Azzmodan joining we can stop recruiting again :) LKFF needed members???? omg! well.. yes... we have a long list of members, but most of them are inactive or are not there for fighting our wars, but idling in the irc channel or spamming our forum or helping out with our LAN-party's. So... we are now back in full effect! | |

Several changes to the LKFF member roster. Trellian has joined little over a week ago. He is ex-Hr, hasn't played quake at all for several months and now he's trying to catch up again. After a week, all I can say is that he has cought up with us :D We also have some people leaving LKFF. - Rooster has been with us almost right from the start. He has been inactive for a very long time and will stay that way for another long time to come. So we decided together that our roads will part from here. GG Rooster and cu sometime soon. - Zephyrus has decided that he wants a more active clan, in which he can play wars himself aswell. He was on the roster for LKFF2, but couldn't play enough wars. Over at Total Terror he hopes to find a better game ;) Good luck Zeph. ACTIVITY changes: - Pain+ has gone inactive. - Technoid is temporarely inactive - Digital Decay is back in action! | |

We had a CS-division. Not for playing wars or something spectacular like that (yet), but there were several people playing CS in our clan. Primairly 4PLaY and Re*Laxed. Maniac joined LKFF only for the CS division. But 4PLaY had been asked to play CS with another clan and he accepted that, to be able to play wars, without having to set this clan up far enough for CS-warring along side with Quake3. 4PLaY went to this other clan (don't remember the clanname ;) ), but will stay with us as our mascotte (since he is one of the 3 founders of LKFF!) and Maniac was removed aswell, since there is no CS left here. Bulldog, who joined LKFF along with Technoid and Chapter V, when they came over from RkF, had been removed from LKFF. He has started a new clan with Chapter V, called Rotterdam Bomb Squad. Chapter says he want to remain with LKFF, or better said: he will remain with LKFF2. Chapter is basically the CL for LKFF2. Bulldog however is gone now. | |

We have our very own Quake3 server running now. It's bandwith is provided by Freeler and... IT'S FASTTTTTT! We have set up 5 servers at 212.19.220.164, of which 3 are setup as private 212.19.220.164:27960 = FFA server (public)212.19.220.164:27962 = 1on1 server (public, standard maps)212.19.220.164:27961 = 1on1 server (private, custom aswell)212.19.220.164:27965 = Freeze Tag WarServer (for the FT ladder here on clanbase, VERY private :))212.19.220.164:xxxxx = TDM WarServer (even more private, only for LKFF-wars or LKFF-practice)Our server is still beta at the moment, some changes will have to be made in the coming week. Only the FFA server is operating like it should, the 1on1 server's are not OSP-enabled (oops! ;) ) and the TDM server has only 1 map. Seems like something went wrong with map-text-files. We were planning this week as a beta-test, OSP version needs to be updated to latest (is now OSP 0.99d) and the custom maps will need to be uploaded aswell. | |

Although LKFF was formed a little earlier (27th of May), we only started to be a real clan on 19th of September 1999. Today we are officially 1 year regged at clanbase. So, it's LKFF's birthday. I waited to post this news b/c we had our first cup war tonight. Ironically LKFF goes serious on the 1st anniversary. We played vs Solid on a (verrrry) laggy cistron and managed to pull out a draw. we lost by 2 frags on DM6(118 vs 120) and we won by 1 frag on DM7(111 vs 110). With the re-enforcement of lkff with rkf'ers, I decided that it was time to kick some _totally_ inactive members, namely Jowie and Melvin. Melvin was our only international member and b/c our forum is in dutch (clanforum and such), this was kinda awkward. Melvin is still for at least another 6 months in the Danish army (18 months total)... sorry Melvin. Jowie is collegue at my work, but he doesn't even play quake very often anymore, so it was time to remove him aswell from the clan page. | |

Again, submitting news comes slow... but it's finally here :) Deviant Monk (monk for friends) is now a member of LKFF aswell. He teamed up with us, b/c he wants to play more teamwars. And since LKFF is one of the most active q3 clans on clanbase (except maybe for or friends over at the MIA clan ;-) ), we were his choice. Monk has been practicing a few days with LKFF and the day before yesterday he changed the [xxx] into =[LKFF]=. We had been 'flirting' as he calls it, with Monk for some time on the FFA server Demon NL DM1-9 (195.11.243.33:27960), to have him join LKFF. But he allready had a cool clan: OAP, the old age pensioneers. OAP is still what LKFF has been for a long time: a FFA-clan. LKFF want to become a FT-clan also. FreezeTag is also one of the LOT of mod's availeble out there and we played it a lot during our clan-LAN a few weeks back. now, why all this crap? simple.... first we'd like a FT ladder, but that's a different story, second, Digital Decay is one hell off a FT player. And b/c we will need more availeble members for wars, DD has come to strenghten our clan (LKFF is a mainly-fun-clan, allthough we will have our own Q3 FFA, FT and TDM server quite soon :)) ) LKFF will have a FT server online next tuesday(21 aug) at quake.freeler.nl:27965 come check it out! After a few matters where Silverspoon and one or more other LKFF-ers had differences of opion, Silverspoon decided to keep the honour to himself and has quit LKFF. Perhaps the biggest trouble around this all was the major gap in age between him (13, later on 14) and the others. Average age in LKFF is about 20. We have decided (as a clan) that the minimum admission age for new members will have to be set to AT LEAST 16, to avoid these kind of problems in the future. We hope Silverspoon will have a lot of fun and frags over at Clan UFO. Frag on pplz! | |
