Sweden were better in many aspects of the game, the Greeks tried but didn't have the team.

Hi all, I have some sad news for 2 countries, I apologise.

Where I've said earlier that I'd allow both Turkey and Greece to the NC. I have now been told by our main NationsCup guy on CB, Voldo, that these countries cannot play in the NC.

I apologise to these countries, because in this case I should have talked it over with Voldo first, wich I didn't, so it's basicly my fault that I gave these countries false hopes. One of these countries will be replaced by the United Kingdom who were on standby, the spot will remain empty.

The Greek national team has approached me and explained the situation to me. It appears that they are Greeks who still live permanently in Greece, but study in the United Kingdom. I have asked the Greek captain to prove this to me, by scanning Greek passports and NUS (University) Cards, and if this is done, I will allow Greece to participate.

Turkey have not yet approached me, but if they would like to then I would like to invite them to do so as soon as possible.

Eventhough Greece and Turkey don't have a captain nor players that play directly from the country I've deceided to add them to this edition of the NC. Both countries and players have profiled themselves as such. I hope this situation won't be abused. Because if I detect that people are playing in the respective teams who aren't really from Greek or Turkish origin then the teams will be removed.

I hope everyone understands this, and that we, with all the teams can have a fun and competative Nationscup. I also hope that the teams will be more cooperative in the server discussions, and prepare for each match, having as much server options open as possible. With as aim to get to a fair server or server combination.

Welcome to this years edition of TO Nations Cup!

Team captains

As in the previous seasons we need one team captain for each nation to organize his team, pick players and to act as contact person for the supervisors. If you think you are qualied enough to represent your country in a good way and think you can make it a successful season you need to follow these steps:

• Gather as much support as you can from your country's top clans (i.e. clans from which players for the national team are likely to be recruited) and from top players playing for foreign or international clans. Copy/paste the lines in irc where they confirm that they support your candidacy.
  
  
• Mail me
  • The subject must be "TO NC: [country] captain", e.g. "TO NC: German captain"
  • Start the email with your nickname, your clan, and your ClanBase hid (the number between brackets on your player page).
  • Provide a list of the clans and players who support your candidacy + the irc bits where they say so.
  • If your country has shaky internet connections: provide details of international online matches recently played by your local players/clans to demonstrate that you can field a competitive national team (cfr. the rules).

All captains will be appointed by me based on the amount of support they have in the scene.
No individual or organisation can appoint him/her/itself. (Meaning you can't say "I am country x's captain" without me approving)
