After 11 weeks filled with matches we have now reached the end of this UT zp iDOM Open Cup. It is 
Dreun Meer Konten #dmk- that wins the gold this season by defeating 
[Berts$uicideClub]since 2002 after an intense battle in the final. The bronze is taken by 
dRuNk JuNkieS who took revenge for their loss in the groupstage against 
Vl'hurgs.

Aside from the official playoffs we also provided some additional matches to determine the other ranks, just for the fun of it. The results of these matches are listed below.

We would like to thank the admins that helped us during this cup as well as the teams for playing a cup without any match conflicts! I think that, despite a couple of drops we had during the groupstage, the cup was a great succes considering the overall UT99 activity these days. It is still uncertain if there will be an Open Cup next season but it should be possible as long as there are people willing to supervise it! See you next time!

Clockwise „Gaming 24/7” is not active anymore so they cannot play the semifinal, thus leading to ørange Crew reaching the unofficial finals by default. ørange Crew will meet The Quads in clash of the best of the rest. nimbleMinds.ut get the unofficial bronze by default. DmK - DOM-Iceotoxin-LSE and DOM-Lament vl'hurgs - DOM-Cidom-CE and DOM-Cinder
The idea is rather simple and if there would be enough signups and interest, I (
Decl) would be willing to supervise it. The cup would feature 3 mods: iCTF, iDOM and iTDM. The matchweeks would have a pre-set maplist, e.g. Week 1: CTF-DukuCB3 / DOM-Malice ; Decider: DM-Deck16][.
There are teams that only play one of the mods, but majority of players who still play InstaGib, play all 3 (either in cups or just IRC pugs). I think it could be an interesting initiative and would keep UT alive in between the official seasons.
