GG guys when i read this comments i must agree with fraxx. Here are playing good teams, so every team can win, when they have a good day and all can lose when the other team has the better day. But some poeple must learn to lose their matches. Thats a part of fairness gameplay, too! Gl for the finals poland

Wanted to give my opinion about some things, this is not to insult any1 in any way. (taking in regard milambeers reaction, since its deleted) Xzearo, my friend i have to disagree on ur point of view about vey. Vey is a tactical player, with good aim, pretty much like zyrinx. But this tournament has so many different situations that its impossible to say that 1 player was the best. Its always a team effort, without ur team u wont get the scores u get now. Also on the camping part of poland i dont quite agree, with vey and frackov the polish team has alot of dynamic (see the vids). About the lag, i can understand that if ur playing with average ping 80/100 that many players seem warpy to u xzer. Spain was a great team and italy too, and i was surprised by their level of skill. i enjoyed this tournament and it was a nice chance for players to show what skill they obtained in the past few months. But the hardest test comes after the matches, if u can show modisty, take a loss, and respect for ur team and ur opponents. Greetz

What things we can read around here, vey better than zyrinx? xDDD,zyrinx its best player of this nations by difference, sad thing its a team of warpers reach the final and even more sad would be if they win the nationscup,a team with 3 campers and one attacker, all warping. Vey its worst player of nations and by warpers only behind of wendel.

Note: the following comment is to be intended as a joke. One of the definitions of luck is: "The happening of something statistically not probable" The fact that we were able to group previously isn't a factor influenced by luck, because it statistically is supposed to happen alot of times during a game (a bit more or a bit less depending by luck, yes) Also, even if we died before that situation, any spawn would have been the same good for us, except the one in the enemy garden, which beeing only one spawn, was not probable to happen. However, the chance of that return to happen can be calculated like this. Considering that the average accuracy is around 50%, that 33% of the spawns are in base, that you had 4 players, and that the netfrag was almost equal with the other team, the chance of that happening would be about 1/2*1/2*1/2*1/2*2/3*2/3*2/3*2/3*1/2= 1/162. That means that in the same situation (with the same players, and with the same dynamics), statistically speaking, we would have capped 161 times, and you would have returned the flag 1 time, which was what actually happened in that one game. But anyways, it happens, last time we won a practice on siberia vs ESP by luck too, we have no problem to admit this, it's a part of the game. Sometimes luck influences the game in favour, sometimes not in favour, and sometimes it doesn't influence the game (for example the first map or the map we lost vs FRA wasn't influenced by luck) Also as I said, you probably would have won the eventual third map anyways, and luck was not the only factor in that map, but one of the factors (skill was first factor, our mistakes second factor, and luck third factor), as it is inevitable to be.

That is surprising for me, it would mean that you all have survived for 30 (?) seconds of game without dying... I bet if you could focus your attention on the top left screen, there wouldn't be a moment without messages who railed who appearing. You died around 320 times and it means that every 4s somebody from your team was getting killed;p And yeah respawns are a part of game so still my thesis is that they could help you before in setting your spots, forming some groups or something... Still I am not so much into analyzing any match but the point is that I wouldn't say anything here is black or white;P If you would put 10 secs of game out of the rest of content then maybe... but it makes me wonder what happened earlier and if it was possibly something that had some bigger impact on the next 10 crucial seconds:P

My bad then Yeah, on noghost we were using a noghost-only rule, while here we are using the global demo rule.

Thanks for the demos, I watched the dynamics of the return in Japanese Castles. From your point of view it looked much more easier than how it looked from our point of view. But very good timing, no missing and a bit of help with noone spawning in the base spawns.

Just to clarify my post too, I never meant to say that you won just because of luck. You won because of great play, great players, some mistakes by us and some luck; it is inevitable that in a close match the victory can be determined by that too. Said that, even if we won Japanese, you probably would have won the remaining map, so it didn't matter that much. I think people tend to "overrate" zyrinx as you say, because it is is more difficoult and funnier to watch, to see a player constantly running while fragging than a player that is always still, aiming at corners and spawns. He plays as o and has the net of a mid. Me, or you or whoever is playing defensively are barely shown in the streams, for that reason.

for me he is 555 steps above in being overrated;p before we started the match I told my teammates that if they see zyrinx, the only reasonable move they can do is to run away from him! After we finished I asked if anyone of them would like to join my new religion, you can guess who is god for us:P Oh and as the part of cult I would like personally (not as representative of team poland or sth) kindly ask (or even beg!) for Zyrinx demos, I would like to have 40 minutes of pure pleasure while looking at every excellent move he does I am very sorry if by posting any message here I offended anyone of you - now I am really serious, I thought that we were just exchanging our opinions. You probably do not consider my approach as a friendly - just to let you know I tried to demonstrate my opinion in most acceptable way but yeah, it turned out it is still pretty controversial.

without apologies or excuses ... I saw two games very well balanced ... and I was hoping for an friendly end. I think we could do much better, but in front of us was a very prepared team .. play together for a long time and therefore have a good team play ... for some of us had our first experience in ictf (see me) and are here to get these results without much training is not the best but definitely positive!. milambeer and I'm sure vey is honored to be compared to zyrinx ... but for me zyrinx in general skills is 10 steps above (just my opinion).
#11 milambeer (gHa ) 5 Mar 2012 12:24 | Reply |
the only obvious luck for me is Vey's good performance during matches against you ;p he was a zyrinx of polish team if he deserves such a compliment haha:d if I could choose between having luck and just being in a good shape, I would definitely pick the second option - in my opinion you had a great chance to win against us yesterday. From my perspective it is tough task to find a difference between Italy from yesterday and from one month ago when we played some friendly match.

You probably would have still won first map, while we could have won second, but luck is a part of the game, as are mistakes by players, so of course no complaints Sometimes we won some maps, because we were more lucky too, it happens all the time We did 3 big mistakes where we could have capped (me watching down instead of up, when flag was in stairs close to base, me blocking zyrinx while he was about to run for a cap, and ch4in covering zyrinx in the wrong direction in the last minute), so our bad and good job to you gg's
