A very lengthy match report, complete with multiple screenshots.
First level: mp_toujaneEuroCup XXII winners citerciciii met with the predominantly Slovenian based
ACER in a group A match yesterday. With both teams undergoing some kind of lineup reformation, this could be called a game of transition, as it was played on the map surely everyone knows the best to leave as little room as possible for any flawed teamwork, should it arise.
For the Slovenians of
ACER,
mauSer made a last moment decision which clan to play for, in light of
iRETIX replacing eSuba in group D. It is currently unknown how the Slovenes of
iRETIX will line up for their match against Stheno tonight. Back on to sweeter pastures, or more accordingly, coops!, for it was
ENIt delaying the entire proceedings with his chicken meal. Using my ability to intertwine both personal experience and an editorial capacity, I can confirm this is at least the third time I know of chicken had delayed a game for
ENIt.
Moving on from this editor sighing in despair at the inability of the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise opening shop in Slovenia, we surely must examine the recent departure of
smokeR from the
C XXV lineup. From what information is available, he is on a work leave in Germany, should not be returning for at least a month. Whether his tek-9 advertised retirement is permanent is yet to be seen. Stepping in his rather large boots as scope for this season will be
sonex. Although not quite a winning debut, his performance galvanized any fears of
C XXV losing their edge.
We began with a pistol bash, an often dreaded affair, especially from the side of
C XXV. One watching the recent GBC stream would spot their humorous mention of always losing PB, however even this dreadful curse ended yesterday, as they scored a team ace and won easily.
sonex got the opening frag of the game with a nade on the axis opponents, until
ENIt put him down with his scope in reply. As the round progressed and frags were exchanged,
jape clutched the important 1v1.
ENIt was not disheartened by this turn of events, providing two nice shots to bring the game to 1-1. With
Grega (: getting the ever so annoying keypackets kick,
C XXV tied down the round. They continued in like fashion to make it 3-1.
hEFEST continued a nice display of form, with his third double in a row, bringing his team a 4-1 lead on the attack.
As
qtor naded himself in the following round, the Slovenians pulled one back. The match was plagued by technical problems, mostly from
qtor's side, especially high ping and crashes.
ENIt attempted to go huge with three kills in the next round, but lost the crucial 1v1 to
fatalicious.
qtor crashed for the first time in the next round, leading into a timeout. A truly well timed timeout indeed, as the referee had something important to say about the match proceedings.
C XXV get the 7-2 round, and it looks like a decisive lead has been established. Slowly but surely, however, the sons of Triglav claw themselves back into the game, with all five of their players contributing crucial frags in the following rounds. The half ends in a favourable position for them, 7-5.
sonex yet again opens the gameplay, but
sixty9 would have none of that, getting a triple from a delayed A push and copious amounts of fortune. With
fatalicious now pinging into 999 territory every few seconds,
sixty9 takes advantage to take him down during one of the 999's, then pushing on A and securing a ridiculous noscope with his rifle into A shop. Even with
sonex desperately firing on all cylinders, getting yet another in a long series of opening kills,
sixty9 secures the third round in a row with an A push, his luck now reaching epic new heights. It is now 8-7, as
ACER take the lead for the first time.
The Croatian scope strings together a triple, to bring a halt to their round leaking. The excellent
sonex and
fatalicious secure the next round, even as we are faced with another
qtor crash, 9-8.
sonex and
jape combine for a team takedown after another timeout was used and
C XXV have a comfortable lead again at 10-8. As
ACER go desperate and switch up scopes, even though
ENIt had performed well so far ,
mauSer rising to the challenge,
sixty9 pulls another A miracle, taking down three and pulling it back to 10-9.
With
tONY getting a nade kill and
Grega (: a double, the game is again tied, finally in double digits. The next round is crucial,
jape and
Grega (: left in a 1v1, after
hEFEST gets two nice headshots from A corner. Although
jape was far from displaying decent form over the course of the match, he clutches yet another time.
qtor crashes yet again at the start of the round,
ACER missing the opportunity to take the pause immediately, although kudos to them, they use their own timeout so
C XXV can bring in
ultima for the final two rounds. Even without
qtor,
C XXV had won the round and at 12-10, it would take something special to close off the game.
Clearly, finally done and invigorated by his chicken dinner,
ENIt drops 4, denying the Croatians their first match point. He gets another three in the final round, with the teams sharing the points at 12-12.
draw 12 - 12Conclusion
In a match dominated by technical problems,
ACER take advantage and snatch an unlikely draw. With
sonex on top form in toujane, it will be interesting to see if he can replicate such form on other maps in the pool.

I had no problems reading this, nor should anyone else. These words makes a report look more professional and entertaining, fooZar put himself into it and overall made a good job. Each sentence had a background, rather amusing than doing those poor reports which makes no sense to the readers apart from the ones who actually played it. |

nice report, but you use so many unnecessary foreign english words that it often just harms the reading-flow even of an advanced.
I guess you do these comprehensive reports for all, but I bet not even 10% can read it without problems. That english you use is like an essay for the a-level exam. So pls try to write normal english which is easier to read. I mean not even people from uk would write like this.

One must be open to constructive criticism, but I'll be honest, never had I expected to be so profoundly shocked, disappointed, grounded and personally offended all at once by a remark about my writing style.
I hope you understand why I must refuse, as making things simpler would be much more difficult to me. |
