1on1 UT BunnyTrack Cup 2012

Rules & Cup Layout!
by: Supervisors
As some of you might have noticed, the rules are up! Inside you can find an explanation of the cup layout and a highlight of the more important rules. A must read for everyone!

Cup Layout

  • You will play against each opponent in your group, playing one game per week. At the end of this group stage, the highest ranked players will proceed to the playoff and play a knockout until the final game. All games are played using the InstaGib mutator and the BunnyTrack2 mod, with a time limit of 20 minutes and a cap limit of 2 caps.
  • A group match can be decided in 3, 4 or 5 maps. A map win results in 2 match points for the winner and 0 for the loser, a map tie results in 1 match point for both players. The first player to get 5 match points wins the match. The maporder in the groupstage is determined via a special maproster which can be found on the mainpage once it is known.
  • A playoff match can be decided in 4, 5, 6 or 7 maps. A map win results in 2 match points for the winner and 0 for the loser, a map tie results in 1 match point for both players. The first player to get 7 match points wins the match. In a playoff match both players select three different maps from the map list before the start of the match and inform the Referee about this by sending a private message to him. The Referee will annouce the maps when he has received both player's choices by changing the topic of the match channel. The Referee decides whose map is played first by flipping a coin.
  • Because this cup is held during summer holidays, it will be allowed to deviate from the weekly match schedule during the group stage after informing the supervisors. However, all group stage matches must be played before the last day of the wildcard week. This means that if you are on holidays for a number of weeks during the groupstage you can schedule your matches to other weeks as well. However, you will have to contact your opponent(s) yourself, find a suitable date and then inform the supervisors. If you are not able to contact your opponent(s) then inform the supervisors about the period for which you are unavailable, the supervisors will then take this into account when forcing the matches. This only applies to players who are away for more then 1 week, in all other cases matches will be forced at the end of the preceeding week if needed as is explained by the rules.

Important Rules

Group Rankings

6.3 A player that forfeits a group match for the second time will be removed from the Cup.
6.4 If a player leaves the cup with only one match to go, then the last match will be considered a forfeit loss and all the player's matches will count for the ranking. This rule does not apply however to players that had already forfeited a match or that had won or lost all their previous matches.

Wildcards

7.1 Each player is given 1 wildcard, which it can use to cancel and reschedule a planned group match, for whatever reason. players are strongly advised to cherish their wildcard until they really need it because of bad luck (e.g. connection problems). Using the wildcard lightly and then losing a later match because of real problems would be a painful way to be eliminated from the cup.
7.2 The wildcard can be used up until the match start time as shown on the Roster Page. If a player attempts to use a Wildcard after the match start time they will forfeit the match.
7.6 Wildcards can not be used for playoff matches. A playoff match can only be postponed by decision of the supervisor.

Cheating & Abuse

8.4 It is not allowed to take advantage of or abuse bugs (such as 'bouncing'). Any kind of bug abuse is considered cheating and will lead to a forfeit loss.
8.11 Players are not allowed to use any speed hacks or CPU enhanchments that will artificially increase their game speed. This is considered cheating and will be punished according to ClanBase's cheating and abuse policy.

Match Rules - general

12.4 Each player must record a 1st-person demo (of each map he/she plays) and keep this demo for 14 days after the match (Please pay special attention to restarting demorec after disconnecting from the server for any reason)
12.8 If a button has to be pressed by both players in order to open a map then that button should be pressed as soon as possible.
12.9 It is not allowed to use tricks or shortcuts that can only be used on 1 side of the map. Every player is supposed to know the map and not knowing the shortcut was only possible on one side is not a valid excuse.

Everyone should of course know all the other rules as well which can be read here!

Good Luck & Have Fun!
